On July 15, 2022, Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by her only daughter Princess Anne, visited Maidenhead to officially open the new building of Thames Hospice. The Queen and Princess Anne toured the new building and met with staff and volunteers. Maidenhead is a market town in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in the county of Berkshire.
The hospice provides palliative and end-of-life care to people aged 16 years and over across East Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. It has been running for more than 30 years, and provides nursing, medical and therapeutic care to give physical, social and emotional support to patients and their loved ones.
What a nice surprise to see the Queen today at this event and The Pss Royal as a bonus. The Queen looks lovely , very nice dress and her statement pearls. A good look for Pss Anne as well/
ReplyDeleteI felt exactly the same! What an absolute treasure The Queen is with her walking stick and purse (I can never forget it may contain a marmalade sandwich) to continue and open the new section of the hospice she first opened. She is such a trooper and looks so lovely as well. Her pretty floral dress perfectly matches her eyes with her amazing aquamarine brooch, luscious pearls which compliment her hair and lovely pink lipstick- she looks so beautiful especially in that 4th pic. Love that she her has family supporting her. She was so sweet and quick-witted with the couple (lady in dots) whose husband’s cell phone rang as they were meeting The Queen.
DeleteThe Princess Royal’s plaid is a nice compliment to the floral (a basket and flowers:)). She is also such a faithful, diligent trooper and helper to others. Would maybe prefer a lighter shoe/purse but perhaps she was pulling out the grey tones or matching The Queen.
So great to see them and such a lovely, caring place to highlight.

Queen Elizabeth is lovely in her flower dress. Soft pastel color. I love her smile. She is so courageous. Ann should ask her mother's advice what kind of dress to wear. It is summer Ann, wear a flower dress like your mother or at least a brighter color. The checks can be stored in her wardrobe until next fall. Not to mention the white tights and the shoes and handbag that are too dark. In this case she could ask her sister in law for advice. At least Camilla is wearing beautiful shoes and handbag this summer.
ReplyDeleteQueen Elizabeth looks lovely, that soft colour print dress is perfect; it is a shame that Princess Anne doesn't care about her appearance, she looks dowdy and old fashioned.

Les couleurs douces de sa robe à fleurs vont à merveille à la Reine ; Anne devrait s'en inspirer mais en adoptant des tons plus vifs car elle a une magnifique silhouette !
ReplyDeleteSuch a treat to see the Queen out and about. She looks lovely in her floral dress, pearls and aquamarine brooch. Her hair has been shortened and I think it suits her very well. Her smile is beautiful. (Debra)
ReplyDeleteFantastic to see Her Majesty out on official duties again and this in an unusually hot spell of weather in the south of England. (Sadly the heat has not made it to western Scotland but we live in hope!). Like the Queen’s dress, but Princess Anne’s is rather somber. Both would look better in lighter coloured shoes. Just so impressed by the Queen’s determination to do what she can when she feels fit enough. 🥰 AnnieM
ReplyDeleteIs Princess Anne wearing the same dress she wore to her exhusbands daughter last week?
ReplyDeleteMy God, she has really deteriorated physically. I didn't expect that, her mother was still very fit at that age. The Queen is very brave. Clothes-wise I can't say anything, nice as always. Anne, old-fashioned as always. Frieda
ReplyDeleteThe Queen Mother was not really fit at 96. The Queen has intermittent mobility problems and also has to do far more than her mother did at the same age. She also lost her husband at a much later stage of her life than the Queen Mother - it all makes a difference. Deterioration? Shes elderly - she's pretty impressive.
DeleteNo. It looks similar, but is a different outfit.
ReplyDeleteOh Bless her, The Queen looks so pretty. What an inspiration she is, her tenacity and strength of mind. She looks beautiful. Splendid, that the Princess Royal was able to accompany the Queen, lovely.
ReplyDeleteHer Majesty looks as good as ever;lets keep in mind she has been working for the last 70 years;but you say oh the privileges, but do you under stand how demanding it is on all those tours, you just turn up to watch her walk by. How many miles has she walked around the world;listened and spoken to how many people? So as Her Majesty rides, enjoys her dogs I think she is the most remarkable person on this earth. Today she looks particularly lovely;the dress is just right. Princess Anne is a wonderful support for her mother.(Tara)
ReplyDeleteSo nicely stated, Tara. Thank you. I am sure many of us share the same thoughts. AnnieM
DeleteThe Queen looks lovely in her summery, subdued floral print dress. Not sure I like her hair cut as I'm so used to it being a certain way, but it will grow. Princess Anne looks like she is wearing the same outfit she wore to the wedding over the weekend, a checked dress/bag/shoes, though not sure if it is identical or not, it appears to be. Nice to see them together. jj
ReplyDeleteDie Queen ist fantastisch! - Es müsste sie mal einer nach dem Marmeladensandwich fragen und dann müsste wie wirklich eins in der Tasche haben ;-) ... einfach herrlich die Szene mit Paddington :-)
ReplyDeleteHow pretty HM looks in blue floral frock--and I love her choice of her aquamarine clips. The Princess Royal is also looking lovely. What a treat to see them together!
