The Fight Aids Monaco's charity summer gala 2022 took place at the Monte-Carlo Sporting in Monaco on July 24. The Summer Gala became the first great event of the year that raised the funds that are essential for carrying out the Association's works and initiatives.
Princess Stephanie and her family, Pauline Ducruet, Louis Ducruet, Marie Ducruet and Camille Gottlieb participated in the Fight Aids Gala 2022 that involved a concert given by the band 'Queen Machine', accompanied by the London Rock Symphonic Orchestra. The gala also involved a tombola and fireworks show.
Zara printed satin shirt dress
What is a "gala" nowadays? Obviously nothing elegant or glamorous.
ReplyDeletei agree, sadly long gone are the Grace Kelly days. However, this is the best hair style Stephanie has had in a long while! Camille's dress is lovely but does not flatter her legs
DeleteMy thoughts exactly
DeleteA gala is a festive event with special entertainment - it doesn't have to be black tie.
DeleteI believe that it is Princess Stephanie's wish that this is a fundraising occasion but also a festive gathering for everyone involved in FightAids - that includes the volunteers and the people who use the services. As that includes people who wouldn't normally have a ball gown or tux the atmosphere is more casual - I know the ticket prices are much, much lower than the other summer gala events in Monaco.
That being said, this year is way more dressed down than previous years - and it's definitely not elegant. Props to Camille and Marie who have gone for a sort of cocktail look but frankly, Stephanie and Pauline and Louis look like they're about to start doing some home decorating.
''A typical gala is a formal affair, often held to support a worthy fundraiser, charity event, or other special occasions. Generally speaking, gala etiquette calls for an evening dress, sleek heels, a small clutch bag, and statement jewellery. It's like a prom — but for adults''
DeleteThese kind of gala's like we used to know in the past will disappear more and more due to the difficult times we live. A lot of people don't realize that. The viruses that won't go away, the political and economic situation, the energy question, the battle for the climate. All this cost a lot of money even for the rich and famous. There will be a lot of fundraising necessary in the years to come. This can as well be done in jeans and t-shirts. It is not necessary to buy new gowns, jewelry, clutches, nice shoes, champagne and caviar, etc...
DeleteA gala does not presuppose formality.
DeleteAnonymous 15:36, I do realise that things are getting harder, but even then you can wear a pretty dress. And I am quite sure that Paulines ripped jeans are expensive!
DeleteFashion-vise, only Camille has delivered on this event. The dress suits her, showing off her great legs!
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts too!
DeleteCamille is a very beautiful young lady.
ReplyDeleteIn profile, Camille looks very much like the Kellys!
DeleteYes indeed. She is a real beauty.

Agree!
DeleteBefore fashion, I think Princess Stephanie should be congratulated on the work she has done and is continuing to do for this cause. Bravo chère Princess.
ReplyDeleteFashion wise, I think Princess Stephanie and Pauline Ducruet have well chosen for the occasion with their pants/jeans/Tshirt combination.
But Marie Ducruet and Camille Gottlieb need to lengthen their dresses or get into the jeans/Tshirt swing of things. Camile Gottlieb's dress could be O.K; if there was a little more length to the skirt. Marie Ducruet's dress could be O.K if it were a pant suit.
deadeggs - Well said, Pss Stephanie has done wonderful work and is very committed. I agree with you totally.
DeleteI agree that no-one is dressed in what I would classify as gala-worthy.
ReplyDeleteThat aside, I really like Stephanie´s white trousers. They fit her perfectly.
Camille has lost weight and looks beautiful. Her dress is too short for my liking, but she is the most elegant of them all. Pauline looks most underdressed in her ripped jeans.
Lovely family pics.
ReplyDeleteCamille looks great! Pauline looks the best I have seen her look quite some time. Stephanie is so slim and trim--I am OK with her look except for her hair (never been a fan of that slicked back look). Meanwhile, not sure I understand how this is a gala--I tend to think of a gala as a big black tie event but I guess times have changed.
ReplyDeleteJanet
Maybe we could call it a "pop, rock, charity" gala.
DeleteCamille carries the beauty standard for Stephanie's children, and has the most amazing legs.
ReplyDeleteTous bien beaux sur ces photos mais particulièrement Camille qui est devenue une élégante jeune femme !
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see Pss Stephanie still support the Aids Charity, she has done this for many years. For Royals support for Charities is an obligation and a duty, for celebs it is a call to keep one's name in the Press. The dress code is really relaxed over the years, but everyone looks fine. css
ReplyDeletePss Stephanie has supported the Aids Charity over many years and highlighted this so well. Its great to see her with support of her children and Marie. Fashion wise, I don't like the length of Camille or Marie's dress's. Pss Stephanie's white jeans are the perfect fit. Her short hair suits her beautifully. Obviously it is a casual dressed theme for them.
ReplyDeleteCamille looks very lovely on pic. N°5. The only one that should change her clothes is Pauline. Did she really had nothing else to wear ? A nice white jeans or pants with a beautiful T, like Stephanie, would be nice. I don't like Stephanie's hair, it was better when it was very short. Now there is a lot of gel in her hair to keep it out of her face and it doesn't suit her nor does the very light color on her lips.
ReplyDeleteThe young woman in the dress, should have a few lessons in how to stand, not like a young child with her feet askew, but like a lady. The dress is nice, but far too short and makes her appear chubby.
