  1. For so long everyone complained that the princesses wore clothes that were not age appropriate. Their mother is unbelievably clever and now the girls are wearing their own choices which are reflective of what they want and congratulations to them. They both look fabulous in their own way.

Pretty princesses in pretty dresses! I do wish Sofia's dress were a touch longer but I think she's facing a problem common among tall girls--because of their height a skirt is a bit shorter on them than their peers of more average height even though it is the same dress. My daughter is 5'8.5" and this was an issue for her when she was in school with dress codes. Leonor's dress is a pretty summery frock that looks cool and comfortable.

Pss Leonore has changed since she was and is in Wales. She has become more mature, more self assured. Nice to see that. I like her dress. Enfanta Sofia is a bit taller, Her dress is nice too.

I am not a fan of the dress worn by Leonor. It looks like a house robe on her and ages her. Her sister looks more polished and youthful. The crown princess of Norway and Belgium dress with more style then Leonor. MR

@Angie. The crown princess of Norway we refer to normally is Ingrid Alexandra and she is 18 years old. One of the most beautiful princesses of Europe. Of course her parents are coming before her. I assume the princess you are talking about is her mother Mette Marit. She has her own style and looks very friendly and she is doing great taking into account the illness she has to coop with.
Crown princess Elisabeth of Belgium is 20 years old and she is graceful, natural and elegant at the same time. She is very intelligent and at her age when she is on duty, like we saw her lately, it is normal that she has make-up on and is dressed appropriately. When she is at the university of Oxford she is dressed like the other students and has no make-up on. She is also not afraid to go to the Royal Military Academy where she is wearing army gear like the other soldiers, camouflage instead of make-up, doing all the exercises the others have to do, etc... Every blogger has the right to give his/her opinion on how the royals are dressed. We cannot like everybody's style. If everybody must like the same dresses there would be no difference anymore and we would all look the same.

      @Anonymous4/7/22 19:57,
Princess Ingrid Alexandra is not the crown princess, her mother is because her father is the crown prince. She will only become the crown princess once her father ascends the throne.

At the gala for her 18th birthday Ingrid Alexandra and the other future monarchs of Europe have been photographed together. There were other princesses and a prince whose grand parents are still alive and on the throne. But the young princesses and one young prince that will be a Gran Duke later all were called crown princesses and crown prince. In the media Ingrid Alexandra is also called the crown princess of Norway, because that is what she will be one day. The meaning of this gala was just to show how many young crown princes/princesses will be the king or the queen of his/her country. Everybody found it very pity that Princess Leonor, Prince Christian , Prince William were not present.

  6. They look beautiful, with different styles and personalities. Leonor's face is looks different here she looks more like Elisabeth of Belgium, perhaps growing up. I like Sofia's confidence, she carries herself well.

  7. The young Royal ladies, are truly a credit to their parents. They seem well adjusted, lovely of nature and humble. Both look beautiful. Fabulous to see them both out together at this event.

@MS. When you are 15 years old you are not a child anymore, you are a teenager, a young girl. But some parents are trying to keep their children younger than they really are. At least CP Leonor and Infanta Sofia are visiting events so that they can learn how it is to be in the public eye. CP Leonor gives sometimes a speech which is good too. That is also how other crown princesses in Europe have started to learn how it will be one day when they will be queen of their country.

Oh dear, don't like either dress. The red patterned dress looks like something an old aunt might wear not a teenager. The short white dress is suitable for a teen party, and too short for this setting. Lee

I am sorry to say but I find the dress dreadful. It looks too big and as if she borrowed it from some old person. The big puff sleeves, cross over bodice all covered in her beautiful hair makes her look twice as wide as she is. Her sisters dress is so much better and youthful.

    1. Fashion for dresses is still under the domination of "oversized" and puff sleeves are still in as well, which explains at least partly your opinion.

    3. I agree with you. That dress on princess Leonor is awful on her. It does her no justice at all. She has a beautiful face and excellant figure and that dress just washes her out and looks frumpish on her. A rare miss.

Although it’s on the short side, I do like Infanta Sofia’s dress. I don’t like CP Leonor’s dress at all. It’s a very fussy pattern, it seems generally too big and too loose and it hangs very strangely in the full length photos. This is criticism of the dress, not the person, She appears to be a delightful and very intelligent young lady. We are currently in Spain and CP Leonor seems to be on the front of every magazine. It’s tough scrutiny for a girl her age. AnnieM

      Q. Letitia herself wears Zara clothes from time to time, probably because it’s a Spanish brand. I see nothing wrong with either outfit. (V.M.)

Pregunta a Princess Anne.

@Angie. "L'un n'empêche pas l'autre" like they say it in French. In other countries princesses are also prepared to their role as a future queen. You can do it as well in a beautiful dress. Princess Anne is not an example for the younger generation of princesses, times have changed and they will change more and more in the years to come. Princess Ann belongs to another generation and a monarchy that is very traditional and sometimes seem to live on their own island with their own customs, well that is good for them but it is not necessarily good for the future of other monarchies and countries.

No, I am afraid you are wrong.
Ingrid Alexandra is currently styled as "Her Royal Highness, Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway".
Only her mother is the Crown Princess of Norway.
I find that both Leonor's and Sofia's dresses are age appropriate.
If they went out and about dressed up to the nines, I bet you would complain about their lashing out the Spanish taxpayers' money.

I think we/I have to get used to the fact that the two angelic princesses are growing up and developing in young girls who wear sometimes quite common clothes.
    Nothing wrong about that!

I think the girls are still finding what looks good on them. With the role Leonor will hold she is going to be a little more conservative in her dressing for these occasions.
