The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a new photo of their daughter Lilibet, who celebrated her first birthday last Saturday with a party at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. The photo was taken by their close family friend and guest Misan Harriman during a birthday picnic at the backyard of Frogmore Cottage.
Misan shared another photograph on his own Instagram account which shows the Duchess and Lilibet alongside his own wife and children. Named in honour of the Queen’s childhood nickname, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor turned one on Saturday during the couple’s brief visit to the UK for the Queen’s platinum jubilee celebrations.
Wow little Lilibet looks even more like her father Prince Harry than her brother Arthur.
ReplyDeleteArthur??
DeleteThe mobile phone lives in it's own world when you have a dictionary on the keyboard. I wrote Archie, but the Phone changed it to Arthur...No big deal.
DeleteNow someone else is answering to correct my mistake. Very convenient. When I had sent my message I new I made a mistake. I thought that Arthur was his official name and that Archie was the name his parents called him in private, sorry. Is Arthur not the name of Princess Beatrice's son ?
Delete@Anon 12:17 Your confusion is making me smile. OK, making me laugh :) Princess Beatrice has a daughter. Her name is Sienna. (She also has a new stepson, Christopher Woolf nicknamed Wolfie). Princess Eugenie has a son. His name is August and his mother calls him Augie. Pippa Middleton (Catherine's sister) has a son and his name is Arthur. Prince Harry's name is really Henry but he is known as Harry. There now. Does that clear it up? :)

@Anon 12:17 Sorry for not knowing all the names of the children and grandchildren of the BRF. There is no need to laugh out someone because of that. Do you know the names of all the children and grandchildren of every Royal Family in Europe ?
DeleteHello Anon 8:05 You take my words too literally. I wasn't laughing AT her for not knowing the names of the BRF, but instead at the clever (and funny) way that she mixed them up. It takes talent to do that (intended or not), and I was giving her credit for it. And yes since you asked, my knowledge of European Royalty isn't complete by any means, but it is quite extensive if I may say so myself.

Sweet little girl who looks like Harry. (Elenor)
ReplyDeletekids don't resemble their mother whatsoever! the only genetic link is their father.
Deletej.
@ j. Don't forget that kids change constantly. Even when you are an adult, it is quite possible that when you are young you look more like your mother, but when you get older everybody tells you, you look exactly like your father. Besides that doesn't matter as long as they are healthy.
DeleteWhy is everyone so obsessed with these children looking like someone? Can't they just look like themselves? It just can't matter that much. I am all for them being healthy and happy.
DeleteSo cute. Spitting image of dad and Archie.
ReplyDeleteNice looking little girl but the photo should have been taken in better way.

Absolutely adorable! What a beautiful little girl. Happy Birthday, little angel. Wishing them all the very best.

Pourquoi cette photo? Et tjrs son frère en photo cachée : deux poids, deux mesures.
ReplyDeleteTrès jolie poupée.
Because it's her birthday. We have seen several photos of Archie.

ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty little girl. So happy so see a photo of her.
ReplyDeleteWhat a little red haired beauty! Just like her brother Archie, she is Harry's Mimi Me.
ReplyDeleteDid the Sussexes ever get around to christening Lili?
BRF rejects to be granny, uncle or ...
DeleteWhat....?
DeleteHow cute is Lilibet, bless her. It is nice to finally puta face to the name. Looks like she had a lovely birthday.

@Trumpers
DeleteThis little human is on earth for one year.
I am very sad - I don't understand how you can treat a little person so cruelly. Nobody ever loved you? Nobody has ever loved you and therefore wanted to destroy this little life?
The moms look, to me, like Julia Roberts and Nicole Kidman, hahaha
ReplyDeleteThe Spencer gene is strong in these two little ones ! Apart from having her mom's nose and mouth, this little one is all Harry !
ReplyDeleteA royal girl in a garden with a blurry background….sounds familiar
ReplyDeletePal
What does that even mean?
DeleteWhat a beautiful little girl. To me she resembles her uncle Thomas Jr.
ReplyDeleteWho is uncle Thomas Jr. ?
DeleteI think her uncle Thomas Jr. is the half brother, of The Duchess of Sussex. I think he lives in America.
DeleteTakes after the Queen and after Harry. The red hair is just only Spencer-family.
ReplyDeleteThe red hair gene must come from both mother and father to produce a child with red hair. That means the BRF genetically has the red hair gene as well as Meghan.
DeleteBRF has always had red in there genes. Princess Alice-red hair https://i.pinimg.com/originals/8c/a6/75/8ca675ec50f0ded49b9afaa5498a7a49.jpg

Forgot even Princess Anne has red in her hair. https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/QXmUf4WY6GVwBP54RaYWZX.jpg
Delete@ Louise. You put a lot of work in looking up the red hair gene in the BRF. I don't see it in any of the pictures you sent us. Perhaps a little bit in Prince Philipp. She definitely is a Spencer. I have red hair myself, not as red as Prince Harry, more auburn than red but still. If you put a picture of Harry next to all the relatives you picked out, there is no one with hair like him. His aunt Fergie had/has red hair when she was young, but she is only an aunt by marriage so from her neither Harry nor Lilibet can have it.
DeleteLouise is right. The red runs in the family. Why don't you check yourself? Queen Alexandra was a red-head. As was her husband, Edward VII, and their son, George V, and her daughter-in-law, Mary of Teck. And their son, George VI.
DeleteLily is a pretty little girl--and the spitting image of her father.

I am so happy to see this gorgeous, adorable and happy little angel. I wish the Sussex family all the best with their beautiful family. Against all odds they such an amazing family and I love a success happy story.
ReplyDeleteI lovr red hair;in the hair colour stakes it is unique.Cute photo;dress is nice;hairbow looks fun.(Tabby)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful little girl. Her tiny dress is soft and lovely and matches her blue eyes. Such a resemblance to her Dad, Prince Harry.
ReplyDeleteShe's such a pretty little girl, and she does indeed look like her Daddy. Sounds as though she had a great birthday party. I wish they had offered a current picture of Archie. I hope the Sussexes return to Great Britain on a regular basis. (Debra)
ReplyDeleteI too hope they return back to visit more often. But the experience of this visit has left me with some sadness. It's as if they have been ostracized. I hope it's mostly optics, and that there are warmer feelings behind the scenes among those who matter to them.
Delete- Anon 9:13
I hope that they can just get on with their lives, either in England or California and get a break from the international press. A lot of it coming under the heading of "gutter press".
DeleteI just can't believe the hate that is said/printed on other blogs. It is endless and intensely belittling.
I hope they return more often, too. But I would understand if they do not based on some of the uncalled for nasty press articles. This brilliant article in The Irish Times summed it up:

Anyway, thank you to Harry and Meghan for sharing a lovely photo of their sweet baby girl.
@Anon 2:33: Thank you for that article from The Irish Times. It is well written and speaks directly to many painful truths. I wish this lovely family all the best.
Delete- Anon 9:13
Thanks for the link for the Irish Times' article. I think there is a touch of "anti-royalism" in the article but it's good to read something that is not full off hate, slander and belittlement.
DeleteA happy belated birthday to little Lilibeth.
ReplyDeleteFashion wise, I think her mummy has well chosen her pale blue dress.
Too young to wear a hat but looks like her headband with the bow is her fashion offering for her Great Grandmother's Jubilee celebrations.
What a ray of sunshine this cutipie is. She looks Windsor though, but not the hairstyle.
ReplyDeleteSo this is what we have been waiting for.... Nigella
ReplyDeleteShe's all Spencer and Windsor! Spencer red hair, Spencer facial shape, but there's also a definite resemblance to the Queen, I think. Very sweet girl! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful baby girl. When I first saw the photo except for the hair colour she resembles her grandpa Thomas Markle, same shape face and eyes. Jo
