On June 7, 2022, Queen Letizia of Spain attended the delivery ceremony of the National Flag to the "Special Naval Warfare Force" (FGNE) of the Marine Infantry, which is based at the Algameca Naval Station in Cartagena (Murcia). The ceremony was held at Muelle "Juan Sebastian Elcano" in Cartagena (Murcia). The Special Naval Warfare Force does not have a combat flag because it is a relatively new unit, created in 2009. The Special Naval Warfare Force (FGNE) is the special forces unit of the Spanish Navy.
How lucky they are that they can ware summer dresses in Spain. In the BeNeLux the weather does not allow it, unless you are wearing a cardigan and a rain-coat on top of it.
ReplyDeleteAbout the dress itself : I don't like the lace very much and to me it is too long also. Queen Letizia has better summer dresses than this.
I think I agree with you here. I have been sitting on the fence about this dress. It should be beautiful but it just does not gel. It is very 1950's, it fits beautifully is very fresh looking but somehow is very "meh!" It is too long as well. The only reason it looks a bit ok is because the impeccably groomed Letitia is wearing it.
DeleteSo elegant , endlich sieht man das schöne Gesicht der Königin wieder :)
ReplyDeleteHer dress and shoes are perfect, and so is her hair style for the weather.

How refreshing and enchanting QL looks here, fabulous earrings, can't tell if the shoes are silver or pale blue, but I like them either way. A beautiful look for this particular event. Light and summery, but still formal enough to be appropriate. A win! S.M.
ReplyDeleteI think Queen Letizia is stunningly beautiful in this dress, complimented by the the blue of her shoes, gorgeous earrings, and the ribbon brooch. Her makeup is modestly applied, and her hair bun is practical for outside events where the weather (wind) might be an issue. (Debra)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteStunning! The dress is elegant and unpretentious, as usual the tailoring is perfect. The lovely blue shoes coordinate perfectly with the earrings and pin. Hair and makeup on point.

Elegante en blanco ! Me encanta y tanto mejor sin la mantilla y vestido largo negro que antes se usaban . Guapísima!
ReplyDeleteElegant look--the blue shoes especially!. Queen Letizia looks beautiful.

Gorgeous dress wonder who the designer is? Mary
ReplyDeleteThe dress is by Sfera, a Spanish brand.
DeleteLove this. Sparkling, fresh and impeccable fit. When I scroll through and see Queen Letizia I am always the most excited by the prospect of the outfits.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful outfit. I am not a fan of lace dresses, but this looks great. The pale blue shoes are a interesting choice and look lovely. The diamond and blue aquamarine earrings are one of my favourites that the Queen wears, particularly when she wears the blue aqua stones added to the clasps. They are a beautiful shade of blue, catching the light in these photos very vivid, stunning.
ReplyDeleteShe nailed it with this look!! She is so cool and elegant in this BEAUTIFUL white lace dress!! Her makeup and hairstyle complement the look!! She nailed it!! 10 out of 10!! Well done!!
ReplyDeleteMaravillosa Reina Letizia.
ReplyDeleteWow fantastic look.
ReplyDeleteNice looking outfit, more of a night time occassion dress and shoes, not meant to be worn for this occasion, looks way to formal, and the semi-sheer look is rather odd as well for this occasion.
ReplyDeleteActually the occasion is very formal, back in the day a long black gown and mantilla were worn, she has Broken the tradition.
DeleteIt is one of the most formal occasions in Spain, where long dresses are worn by protocol in the mornings too, sometimes. One should know something, before speaking.
