Ahead of the beginning of the Platinum Jubilee Celebration Weekend, a new portrait of Queen Elizabeth II has been released by Buckingham Palace. The new photo marks the Queen's 70th year on the throne. Queen Elizabeth II is the first Monarch in British history to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee.
The portrait was taken by Ranald Mackechnie in the Victoria Vestibule at Windsor Castle on May 25 this year. For the photo, the Queen wore a soft dove blue coat and dress, both designed by Angela Kelly.
I applaud the photographer for this portrait; the castle in the back with a fantastic looking QE in the front is well done.

Beautiful portrait !!
ReplyDeleteQuelle superbe photo dans des couleurs très douces ; j'adore le style de son manteau mais je ne vois pas bien ce que représente la broderie ; toujours les incontournables perles de ses boucles d'oreilles et son collier à deux rangs !
ReplyDeleteHM is beautiful!!! Am enjoying watching Trooping the Color live. The pale blue coat dress makes her beautiful blue eyes sparkle! God Save the Queen!!!
