On June 28, 2022, Queen Elizabeth II attended an Armed Forces Act of Loyalty Parade at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh. The loyalty parade and the presentation of the key to Edinburgh Castle marks the 200th anniversary of King George IV's visit to Scotland in 1822. Known as the "King's Jaunt", the castle key was presented to the Queen for the first time. Queen Elizabeth is expected to be in residence at the Palace of Holyroodhouse - her official residence in Edinburgh until 1 July.
Did she borrow a hat from Princess Beatrix? I like the blue with maroon buttons.
ReplyDeleteA new outfit for Her Majesty and she looks fabulous. I love the colou and the design together with
ReplyDeleteA beautiful thistle brooch.
Always smiling! good to see her up and about.
ReplyDeleteThe design on this hat is different from her usual.
I think this style of coats with buttons at the top corner gives her a fuller figure, a clever way to disguise her new slimmer shape.
Such a beautiful colour on the Queen and I like the new style of hat, with the button detail on both hat and dresscoat. The Queen is certainly looking very happy being back in her beloved Scotland.

Two days, two appearances and looking good again. So good to see her back out doing the job she is so wonderful at.
ReplyDeleteC’est un délice que de voir la Reine vêtue de ces nouveaux chapeau et manteau de couleur lavande, les deux avec des boutons originaux ; est-ce que la broche qu'elle arbore est un clin d’œil à l’Ecosse ?!
ReplyDeleteThe queen looks amazing. Love the colour and style of her coat and hat.
ReplyDeleteEverything about her appearance is impeccable. She looks so happy to be fulfilling her duties. God bless her.
Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWhat a trooper she is. Love her lavender outfit with purple buttons. Her smile warms my heart. (Debra)
ReplyDeleteNow this is a beautifull design for an elderly lady: splendid!
ReplyDeleteThe colour is lovely, the colour of the buttons lift it up, as well as the matching beautifull hat.
I respect her anonymous designer very much,
Mabel
The Queen's designers are not so anonymous. It is well known that the majority of her clothes are designed by Angela Kelly and Stewart Parvin, with the former largely in charge of almost everything she wears. Ms. Kelly was also recently made personal assistant to the Queen and is in charge of her daily public wardrobe and all insignia and jewellery that she selects, appropriate to the events and locations that the Queen is attending. The Queen also has a selection of milliners who create her hats under the design and advice of Ms. Kelly.

The queen is dressed very beautiful in that lavender blue coat and hat. This time however I think the designers have been a little too generous with the buttons, too dark and too many.
DeleteThank you for the information Anon.18;53.
DeleteAfterwards I thought: the colour must be the colour of the thistle, the national flower of Scotland, like in her brooch, and not lavender,
Mabel
Beautiful new outfit for HM--and she looks lovely in lavendar. I like the new hat style--perhaps the more upturned brim doesn't strain her neck as much as she must always look up at anyone she is interacting with and, if you look closely, she is able to look up more with her eyes in this hat. It is so wonderful to see her out and about, enjoying herself while executing her duties. I believe it was Princess Eugenie who described Scotland and Balmoral as HM's happy place--I would certainly agree!

The Queen looks fantastic. Lovely outfit and I like how the coat coordinates with the hat in respect to color and buttons. And speaking of the color, it is a beautiful purple tone. Also the broach chosen is a perfect complement. I am so glad (and relieved) to see the Queen looking so well and able to do engagements on two successive days without any outward look of strain.
ReplyDeleteThis Queen is certainly ageing with dignity and and she is so beautiful! Without any fillers and Botox but with a great smile;) Anyone noticing that she smiles more often since her health scare earlier this year?
ReplyDeleteAlways in great colours and clothes appropriately to her age and status.

ReplyDeleteLove the hat, so different.
ReplyDeleteShe has the most beautiful smile, our Queen.
My, Her Majesty looks beautiful, and happy. Love her ensemble, very becoming, the thistle brooch is stunning.
ReplyDeleteThe hat and coat are fabulous; actually the buttons and the hat adornment look like cherries, so beautiful, how it compliments the colour of the outfit .Her Majesty looks so lovely.(Tara)
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, Your Majesty!
ReplyDeleteShe looks so lovely and classy in this lavender ensemble.
Buttons and jewelry blend in well.
