On June 16, 2022, Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene and their daughter Princess Gabriella of Monaco watched the celebrations and procession of Corpus Christi 2022 from the Prince's Palace balcony in Monaco. The Feast of Corpus Christi (FĂŞte-Dieu in French), also known as the Procession of the Blessed Sacrament, is a Roman Catholic feast celebrated on the Thursday following Trinity Sunday.
Charlene looks lovely I do like her hair;little Gabriella can just see over the balcony.(Tara)
ReplyDeleteThe smiles are sold out. There are only sour faces left.
ReplyDeleteTrue smiles are not really on, at least on this picture, Charlene looks tired here.

DeleteWhy?
Yes, three photos of them & they all have the same dreary look. *Regina
DeleteI tend to agree, but then we don't know the context. Maybe solemn faces were the order of the day at Corpus Christi? I have no idea how it's done in Monaco.
DeleteC'est une cérémonie religieuse, ils ne vont pas rire.
DeleteVanessa
It's a profound, religious ceremony, not a rock concert!
DeleteFrom what I can see, this Navy outfit looks superb, chic and stylish.
ReplyDeleteIt looked navy (which I love) to me too Ava. However black would also be appropriate. She looks lovely. It is a solemn ceremony they are attending in which a large portion focuses on the agonies/sufferings of Christ.
DeleteAfter the year this family has had, health wise, suffering is something very real and fresh for them. As with most people who have spirituality and have gone through recent suffering, I am sure this was a very reflective and solemn time for them. Those making comments about the lack of smiles/boredom only seem to show their ignorance of the ceremony and hardness towards a family, kids included, that had a very difficult year. I truly wish them the best and restoration of all 4 after being separated from each other during such health problems. We still have friends having memorial services for family members (a year or so late) who passed and were separated during Covid, compassionate understanding for anyone is truly a blessing.

Wish they would show a bit of happiness they always look so miserable.
ReplyDeleteYes, Corpus Christi that happy religious festival that is all about cheerful grins and exuberant celebrations. They mustn't have got the memo.
DeleteIt is a solemn occasion. What do you expect their expressions to be? One of merriment? Enough already.
ReplyDeleteExactly, Virginia Dogwood! I agree 100%.

Severe faces, again a dark blue or black outfit by Princess Charlene.
ReplyDeleteIt's a severe event, not one for smiles and laughter.

Ce bleu-marine est très élégant sur un haut ou une robe ceinturée ? Je me suis habituée à la couleur platine et la coupe courte de ses cheveux ; elle est vraiment superbe !
ReplyDeleteHer dress is very elegant but.."Elegance" is an attitude.
ReplyDeleteSimple, elegant, lovely look from Princess Charlene. Hoping she is fully recovered from her bout with Covid. Everyone looks perfect for this solemn religious ceremony.

Please leave them alone. Always so much negativity surrounding them, and bet you think you should be standing there!! I'm South African and proud of her đź’•
ReplyDeleteShe always looks bored
ReplyDeleteRegardez le contexte, c'est une cérémonie religieuse.
DeleteWhy are negative, ugly Anonymous comments allowed? They are meant to hurt. Ana Maria
ReplyDeleteWhat an elegant and up-to-date business look from the royal family.
ReplyDeleteSo cute little Gabriella - a bit taller than one meter. Milano
