Fantabulous P Char!
DeleteAmazing colour. Dramatic volume. Vibrant ensemble. Perfect for this TPO. The jewelry is somehow understated, yet packs a punch.
Brava!

Oh sublime Charlène dans cette robe originale qui habille sa sculpurale silhouette ; tout est parfait en partant de ses cheveux courts jusqu'à ses boucles d'oreilles dont j'aimerais connaître la marque ?!
ReplyDeleteStunning dress and earrings! Very elegant look!
ReplyDeleteYes, STUNNING.
DeleteNoooo...looks like she's wearing a coloured sack
ReplyDeleteFemine and happy as always.
ReplyDeleteL
Always ????
DeleteIt was irony.
DeleteL
Nope, it was just snarky.
DeleteThe word is feminine by the way - and she looks perfectly relaxed and content.
But, hey, you do you - see what you want to see.
Muy guapa. Vestido muy favorecedor.
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of this dress. A miss for me
ReplyDeleteAgree. Color is terrible.
DeleteI'm not a massive fan of this dress either but it's the first time we've seen Princess Charlene looking a little more relaxed and smiling without it appearing forced. This has to make it a great event, in my view.
DeleteWell it’s certainly an interesting dress, and I like the colour on P. Charlene. Overall though I find the style disappointing. It’s just so voluminous on her slim frame. Perhaps someone like Q. Maxima could carry it off? (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteLovely, stylish, elegant earrings - but the dress reminds me of one of those huge, awkward towel tents that old ladies use to change into their swimsuit on the beach.
ReplyDelete😄😄😄
DeleteOh wow!! She looks great.
ReplyDeleteI like color of the dress but not the style and I don't think she looks good in it.
ReplyDeleteAva
I like princess Charlene in this dress. The only thing I'd change is the large amount of fabric in the back of the dress. Beautiful jewelry and hairstyle. She is looking better than at the other events where she was dressed in too dark colors. Her face looks more relaxed too, yes she looks happier.
ReplyDeleteJe trouve Charlene resplendissante dans cette robe verte.
DeletePorte de tête élégant avec cette coupe courte.
Les bijoux sont tout magnifiques.
Idem pour les accessoires.
Love the green color and her golden accessories- earrings and shoes. A great look on her if she just had something to define her waist- slim gold belt, twisted green fabric. Otherwise great look and here are those smiles and connections at an appropriate social event. Hope she continues feeling better.
ReplyDeleteGlo
I do not agree with you about the belt. This type of dresses don't ask for a belt.
DeleteYou certainly don’t need to agree but the style of this dress with belts, shown only on the front but not the back, were very popular in the late ‘60’s and early ‘70’s.

What an original dress, the hem makes it unique, she has the perfect body to make it look slick and in return it gives her great volume, without looking like a tent as sometimes could be the case. The earrings are the perfect complement, lovely hair and makeup.
ReplyDeleteCherry
A very pretty gown and gorgeous jewels but even better is her beautiful smiling face. Too bad there aren't a few emeralds sprinkled among the diamonds. (Debra)
ReplyDeleteThis dress is a miss for me. It doesn't honour Charlenes amazing figure, only her stunning height. Besides the shorter hem length dead center (awkward to me), the looser fit from the top and all the way down adds bulk to her figure. The dress looks beautiful when she is in mid-stride, but only then.

Princess has a powerful very athletic body shape. Somehow that dress just does not suit her at all. Perhaps far too much fabric bunched over the one shoulder. In picture 7 she looks like she is a tent waiting for the tent pegs to arrive. A pity because it is a vibrant colour but it just does not come off. One of her rare misses.
ReplyDeleteThe green of the gown is gorgeous on Charlene and looks spectacular with movement. But, since the photos are still and she is just standing in all but one I feel the dress is just hanging on her. Her make up and jewelry are excellent--the earrings are stunning. I have a feeling I would like this gown more in person because of the movement factor. Overall I'd say this an OK gown but a fabulous look from the Princess.
ReplyDeleteJanet
@Janet : Good point about the movement factor "it would look spectacular with movement". Agree with you.
DeleteIf anyone can wear a dress like this it's Charlene. She has the perfect body type for it. She has broad shoulders and is slim at the same time. With her short hair it is even better.
ReplyDeleteStunning! And she finally looks happy and well. AnnB
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning.
ReplyDeleteA vision.
Beautiful as always❤️
DeleteBeautiful as always❤️🌟
DeleteShe looks happier than the last couple of times we saw her !
ReplyDeleteI can only think this ia very strange dress: no model , just very much fabric in a nice colour.
ReplyDeleteDoes nothing for whoever wears it.

Once upon a time...Lanvin was the epitome of elegance...I cannot see it here. Absolutely awful! Siv
ReplyDeleteInteresting reviews, very varied.
ReplyDeleteI personally don´t like the dress. The colour is good, but the shape is awful in my view. Very bulky dress, no elegance. The hem is original and I like it, but the high-low hemline draws unnecessary attention to her feet. If the hem had been even and the dress was belted, I think I could warm up to it. I like the above suggestion of either a golden belt or a twisted (or braided) fabric belt.
Pss Charlene, looks beautiful but more important, healthy, and engaging. This gown has some interesting features. The hemline adds interest, I saw a clip on You tube and on movement, gown looks fabulous. I don't like the design, but it suits the Princess beautifully, she wears it well, the color is pretty. Her diamond earrings and bracelet look fabulous, love her shoes. Her chic hairstyle suits her so well, splendid. Makeup looked good.
ReplyDeleteIts lovely to see her looking more confident and relaxed, such a hard road to travel and she has done it with great dignity. I wish her continued good health and happiness. Well done Pss Charlene, well done.
Hear hear! Nice comment @Ava Pittman
DeleteI hope a return to full health is not too far away for Princess Charlene.
She looks stunning. Beautiful color gown and the jewelry is wow to. Pss Charlene is a beautiful lady. I am sure Albert is super proud of her.
ReplyDeleteSpectacular dress! She looks magnificent! - Ana Maria
ReplyDeleteYes that is the right word "spectacular dress". It suits her perfectly, but that would surely apply to a minority of women.
DeletePrincess Charlene is gorgeous. The vibrant colour suits her to perfection, plus the fact that she was so relaxed and smiling. The earrings are something to die for! Bravo Charlene! Please, please keep on wearing vibrant and strong colours.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful event for Princess Charlene. She looks confident, at ease, and healthy. She is beautiful in this gown and her earrings and bracelet are stunning. Her gold shoes are a nice touch and complement her jewelry. (Debra)
ReplyDeleteShe looks healthy and lovely. Personally I don’t care for the shape of the dress but she can pull it off with her height and shape. I like her hair but wish she would let it grow just a bit.
ReplyDeletePositive: She looks healthier - Bad: Looks forced and distant. jj
