Prince Albert II of Monaco and his twins Princess Gabriella and Crown Prince Jacques visited the Norwegian Polar Institute in Tromsø. Prince Albert II signed a protocol in connection with the handing over of a bust of his great-great-grandfather Prince Albert I. Director Kim Holmén received the bust on behalf of the Norwegian Polar Institute.
One hundred years after the prince's death, Prince Albert II wished to honor his nature lover great-great-grandfather and to that end, he handed over a bust of Prince Albert I to the Norwegian Polar Institute during a celebration. Prince Albert I (1848 - 1922) was Prince of Monaco from 10 September 1889 until his death. He devoted much of his life to oceanography, exploration and science.

The Marius pattern has been popular in Norway since 1954. Today it's used not only in clothes. You find it on everything under the sun 😉
