This is a lot of checks!!! There is a great deal to like here--the suit fits well, the trousers are well tailored (although a tad long) as opposed to too-wide legs, the blazer fits well too as opposed to being baggy, and the length of the blazer is hits at the right spot. My problem is too much in terms of overwhelming pattern. I noticed the information from Malina has the blazer named Karah and the trousers named Rosetta. Thinking these are separates that can be worn together as opposed to a single suit. Really wish she had worn these as separates--together they are too much. One final comment--no, no, no to the shoes. The brown shown on the model is a much better choice.

100% agree!!

Checkered suit in this style is still a big no for me, however CP Victoria is continuously wearing these outfits, she obviously must love them.

ReplyDeleteTry as I might, I don't care for this combination on CP Victoria or anyone else. The checks are overwhelming, and the colors are drab. I love her earrings. (Debra)
ReplyDeleteI guess she really loves her pant suits. The one yesterday was a little too bright, but a better cut and more appropriate for her body type. This one is quite garish in my view.

I agree with the above comments. This is too much of a busy pattern. As separates, these pieces would be good, but together they look a bit clownish.
ReplyDeleteThe fit however is great - I like the straight cut trousers and the way the jacket is waisted for a curvier, feminine silhouette.
I´d combine the jacket with plain dark trousers, possibly even with a slightly wider leg. And the checked trousers would go well with a fitted dark turtleneck top and dark boots.
I love everything of this pant suit except the checks. It fits her very well. The
ReplyDeletetrousers are a bit too long and she is wearing the wrong shoes. A block heel would have been better and in a darker color.
I am tired of her hair!
ReplyDeleteWhy?
DeleteHer problem is that she has very thin, curly hair. And I mean it with all respect. But I remember way back in the past, when she was younger, her hair was styled very stunning at grand royal events. Like the pre-wedding dinner of prince Carl Philip and Sofia, and once at an Academy event, and more events!
DeleteLots of checks but it does work for me - perhaps because of the tailoring. The tapered waist and the blouse are very feminine unlike the boxy jackets she often wears. Also, very similar to what we wore in the early 70s! - our prime time. Hero
ReplyDeleteI completely agree, love it!
DeleteThis suit is a splendid fit, jacket and pants wonderful tailoring, especially the slimmer fitting pants. I don't like the checkered patterning. The shoe color is a miss, I much prefer the color tone the model is wearing, darker. Her pearl earrings are divine, I love them.
ReplyDeleteI personally love plaid and I love this suit. It's fitted to her body, not the dreaded oversize that's in style right now. I'd hem the trousers just a bit and brighten the shade of the blouse but other than that, spot on.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with you, caune; CPV looks good in this pantsuit.

I'm not fond of plaid suits but this one looks really good on Victoria.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all the fit is great and shows off her good figure.
Higher waistline, a floor-grazing hem and high heels make her legs look long. The V-neck blouse make her neck stand instead of swallowing it up like those high neck blouses/dresses can do.
Even her hairstyle goes perfectly with her business look. Also good accessories.

Elegant, not overstated suit, hair as always, in place and looking smart. jj
ReplyDeleteTo much. Pick on Victoria. Either the pants or the jacket, but not together.
ReplyDeleteOverall, I get vibes of the circus at Monte Carlo.
ReplyDeleteWe've been down this road before with this pantsuit (I think).
It could work if it were the pants without the jacket or the jacket without the pants.
