On June 16, 2022, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde attended the presentation of the King Baudouin Foundation Africa Prize at the Royal Palace in Brussels. Before the award ceremony, the King and Queen received the representatives of the organization Elman Peace.
The King Baudouin Foundation awarded its KBF Africa Prize 2020-21 to Elman Peace of Somalia in recognition of the organization’s successful efforts to combat violence and promote social justice. The organization has a good record of empowering and cultivating leadership skills among women and young people.
The KBF Africa Prize was created to reward outstanding contributions to development in Africa that were initiated and led by Africans. The prize is awarded biyearly and provides a grant of 200,000 euros and in addition, opportunities to develop global contacts.

ReplyDeleteLe tissue de la jupe s'appelle IKAT. C'est un tissue qui ne vient pas de l'Afrique mais d'Inde et aussi de l'Indonésie. C'est une technique de tissage qui se pratique aussi dans certaines pays de l'Est et des pays asiatiques.

Lovely skirt and top. Mathilde is a very busy lady. Glad they are doing so much for others.
ReplyDeleteQueen Mathilde's skirt is wonderful and the rose colored blouse (love the neckline and sleeves) is perfect. All of the ladies and the gentlemen look very nice. (Debra)
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely outfit, the Queen looks smart and chic. I do love the red dress (I think its red) off the shoulder slightly dress, in the last photo, she looks fabulous, gorgeous dress.
