On May 12, 2022, The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall visited Canada House in London, ahead of their forthcoming official visit to Canada next week. Canada House is a Greek Revival building on Trafalgar Square in London. Canada House is home to the Canadian High Commission to the UK, fulfilling a wide variety of services, including passports and consular assistance.
That dress is nice in color and in simple elegant style .

Yak .looks awful like tree trunk. Looks fat in this type design don't suit her body shape.
DeleteBut the good news is that the boots seem to be safely with the cobbler. No doubt a heel and sole job plus a good polish up for spring/winter 2022.
DeleteI was so relieved to see that she didn't wear the boots to the opening of Parliament :-))
Today's red frock, not bad.
Beautiful red dress in her favoured style. Just great. Love it 💕
ReplyDeleteCamilla looks ravishing in this red dress.. Her gold necklace is very pretty too; can't see her earrings. I believe she has shortened her hair. I like it. Prince Charles looks very sharp.

I agree re Charles. It´s nice to see a different suit, something more summery, and the various patterns in suit, tie and pocket square add interest without being overdone. I just wish he had done up the top button in order for the jacket to sit right.
DeleteIn the first photo, he looks a lot like his late father.
Camilla´s dress is lovely but looks slightly longer in front than in the back (it should be the other way around). Might be a matter of the right posture though.
I also like the stripey dress on the other lady.
Well if it's Canada, then we must wear red or something maple...apparently.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing this is a test run of some red pieces from Camilla's wardrobe before she comes to visit us later this year. Perhaps not the best dress since it makes her look a bit broad around the middle but the colour is good. Nude shoes would have been better as these black ones are too prominent for day wear. However at least they're not boots, or those two-toned Claude Hoppers... though the latter might have worked with red.

Red represents Spain apparently...
DeleteWhat are Claude Hoppers?

@G
DeleteI know them as 'clodhoppers' , that is --- big ugly shoes.
I remember my mother saying "these clodhoppers are killing me - I'm going to put my slippers on"
Oh OK - thank you @deadeggs. Not sure I would describe Camilla's shoes that way. Anyway, thanks again.

DeleteLook at the pictures. It seems to me there is a lot of red. The national flag with the maple leaf, the lady in the Mounties uniform, the apron of the ladies serving refreshments, etc... Spain has not the exclusive use of red. There are a lot of countries in the world who use red for their flags, military uniforms, etc...
Gorgeous color and smashing looking Duchess! The scarlet red is great color for Camilla--hope she has a few items in her closet in this same shade of red.

Duchess Camilla is looking beautiful in red, red is her happy colour. Mary
ReplyDeleteNo Camilla not one of those shapeless dresses again. The only things I like here are her necklace, shoes and her hair which is shorter and make her look fresher.
ReplyDeleteAgree with you all. Camilla dresses better and better.

The red dress would, in my opinion, look more flattering if it were longer. I respect Camilla’s lack of vanity but I think her shoes look somewhat dated and need replacement. Although there is nothing wrong with her usual style, a change would be refreshing.

Beaucoup de simplicité dans cette robe dont le rouge lui va à ravir ; elle ne porte que son collier ras-du-cou en or que j'adore ; élégant le prince Charles dans ce nouveau costume gris à très fines rayures !
ReplyDeleteYes Prince Charles is elegant; he is maybe about to start a new career, when everyone in his age category is retired.
DeleteOne of her best looks IMV, although the style is so predictable.
ReplyDeleteElegance & Style Mantra: if you find something, that works for you, stay with it. That is the clever way to handle fashion. Siv
DeleteCan't say I'm blown away over Camillas dress, but red is definitely her colour.
ReplyDeleteThe dress is same shape, different day, just red for Canada. Block heals, rather than the small heels might look more balanced and give her better footing.
