Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, is making a two day official visit to Spain. On May 17, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain welcomed Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani and his wife Sheikha Jawaher Bint Hamad Bin Suhaim with a state ceremony held at Madrid Royal Palace. The King and Queen will host a gala dinner at the Royal Palace of Madrid in honour Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and his wife.
Carolina Herrera Aline Embroidered Short Sleeve Dress
Very elegant our Queen. Loved the color of the shoes too.
ReplyDeleteLovely dresses everywhere today. This Caroline Herrera number is gorgeous. Fresh and pretty, it fits like a glove and the shoes and bag are perfect.
ReplyDeleteQueen Letizia in beautiful dress looking great with blue bag and shoes.

Emir of Qatar's wife white pants are too long and too wide and so is the coat.
ReplyDeleteIt makes her look huge in that all white outfit .

she is trying to be modern and stay culturally conserved at the same time. But she was not well advised on the weather in Spain, the coat is not necessary
Deletej.
J, just because it is warm in Spain now does not mean it is not cool for those from the Middle East. A few years ago I was in Penang in Malaysia during the June/July period, this is known as the Australian and Middle Eastern time, Australians are travelling there in the middle of winter, whilst people from the Middle East were travelling there as it was cooler. Whilst I was walking around in shorts and t-shirt in light breathable material, the people from the Middle East, whilst generally were covered up, wore clothes of thicker materials.
DeleteBoth ladies in white. Queen Letizia's CH dress looks very pretty. Interesting flower embroidery and well choosen accessories. Fresh and elegant look.

Now this is perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful dress, pure, clean white, and this is how you do prints, sparse but with a punch of color, perfect shoes, clutch, and earrings. Although I prefer the hair parted a little off center, it’s gorgeous nonetheless. The Sheikha’s outfit is chic and pretty, pity she didn’t tailor the pants both in length and volume.

Cherry, well said.

Beautiful summer dress. Lovely blue accessories. Altogether fabulous 😀
ReplyDeletePerfect, Letizia!
Laetizia parfaite
ReplyDeleteQueen Letizia looks very pretty in this Caroline Herrera dress. Lucky she wears it shorter than the model. Love her shoes and handbag. The Sheikha looks enormous.
ReplyDeletePerfect, gorgeous appearance by QL today; the white and baby blue combine wonderful.

ReplyDeleteSheikha Jawaher is simply drowning in her outfit. It lacks elegance and refinement.
ReplyDeleteSmashing look from Queen Letizia! What a gorgeous dress--this is how to do larger floral patterns. I love that she chose the light blue to highlight with her accessories. I understand the cultral reasons behind the Sheika's outfit but I also feel the coat is just too big or the fabric is too heavy to drape softly. However, she is a lovely representative for her country.

The Queen, stunning.
ReplyDeleteThe other lady too much happening with the outfit.

DeleteTenue blanche Chanel ,tenue noire Vuitton mais toujours Hermès .
DeleteI love this stylish and elegant CH dress. The pattern / embroidery of the fabric is subtle. The blue accessories highlight the blue embroidery beautifully. I saw a closeup of the Queen elsewhere and she is wearing the beautiful, Bulgari aquamarine teardrop earrings, the aqua teardrops are a stunning piece. I love these earrings and they were the perfect choice with this outfit.
ReplyDeleteP,S Its not often that you see someone near the same height as the King. The Sheikh, is nearly the height of King Felipe. Both men look dapper in their suits.
I knew I had seen the Sheikha's outfit somewhere... and bum!!! Its the exact same CHANEL outfit [altered blouse] that the one Jennifer Lopez wore at the USA Presidential inauguraton last year... I mean...
