The Earl and Countess of Wessex are currently visiting the Channel Islands to attend Liberation Day celebrations and to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. On the first day of their visit to the Channel Islands, The Earl and Countess visited Jersey.
At Government House in St Saviour, the Earl and Countess met with locals and those who are involved with the charities and organizations that are associated with them. These include The Commonwealth Games Association Jersey, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in Jersey and Jersey Mencap.
Thereafter, the Earl and Countess met with islanders at the Royal Jersey Agricultural and Horticultural Society who had lived through the occupation during World War II, and listened to their stories of surviving during the food shortages.
She is a beautiful woman, but her way of clothing is…a…let’s say, often disappointing,

Yes the blue dress is quite nice; but why is she always wearing her dresses so long.
DeleteIl modello del vestito non è male, ma la fantasia non mi piace proprio e mi ricorda un divano.
ReplyDeleteA lei si perdona perché il suo sorriso e la sua simpatia sono disarmanti
Condivido on pieno!!! Perfetto invece il secondo outfit ;)
DeleteSophie's first dress with the flowers is too long, too busy, too grand-ma's.
ReplyDeleteThe navy (or black ?) evening dress is beautiful. But a bit too much fabric in the skirt.
The print of Sophie's first dress gives me a Christmas vibe.
ReplyDeleteHer second dress would have looked great if only she had worn it shorter, which is to say the length as shown on the model.

The dark blue dress is very beautiful and she looks good in it but as always it's too long. I prefere the length on the model. The first one is not very flattering because of that high neckline and the pattern though it fits good.

I was looking at this on my mobil and first it looked like she had a Christmas dress on 😂🤣 don't like the neckline and the pattern. The shape of the dress is nice. So with a crew neckline and in plane white I would be in love.
ReplyDeleteSophie looks wonderful in both her day and evening outfits--just my usual complaint her dresses need to be hemmed for her shorter stature. I loved the pink floral dress the first time she wore it to Ascot--so glad to see her bring it out again. Her black cocktail is lovely and her evening bag is gorgeous.

ReplyDeleteTwo lovely dresses but both are as always too long for her height
ReplyDeleteReally like both these dresses, especially the dark Alaia one. Due to her insistence of wearing really long lengths, not just the length to be modest when sitting or climbing stairs, I wonder if she may have some problem with her legs like thread veins or even varicose veins? Just a thought. She looks great anyway and has clearly found a style she likes and is comfortable with.
ReplyDeleteFirst dress is very much within her style, I do like the high neck and sleeves. The black dress is fabulous, once again spoiled by the excessive length, and I do like dresses on the longer side unless you are a teen or on very informal settings, 3-4 centimeters shorter and it would’ve been a stunner

I think both dresses fit her very well, aside from being too long. I don't care for the print (too small and busy) or the neckline (too high) of the first dress but I suppose it's appropriate for the occasion.
ReplyDeleteThe deep Navy flair Midi dress is beautiful, suits the Countess well. I love the Navy shoes and fan evening bag. The first dress I am not so keen on, regardless she looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Ava.
DeleteThe Countess is classy, lovely and charming no matter what she wears but the second outfit is by far more flattering on her.
Wonder why she ties her hair instead of keeping them loose.
Her new cut and hairstyle was fantastic on the post where she was wearing the pink suit.
I really don't care about the length of her dresses and most of the time I don't think it looks as terrible as lot of other commenters here. My problem with the "Christmas" dress is the high neck - I think it would be way more flattering with a different and lower neckline. I like the navy dress very much.
