The Earl and Countess of Wessex are currently visiting the Channel Islands to attend Liberation Day celebrations and to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The Earl and Countess attended various events in Jersey and Guernsey today that are organized as part of the 77th Anniversary of the end of Occupation during World War II, that is, Liberation Day.
While in Guernsey, The Earl and Countess of Wessex paid a visit to the Liberation Day Tea Dance at Beau Sejour Leisure Centre, which was being hosted by the TV judge (Robert Michael Rinder), a former Strictly Come Dancing contestant.

Erdem Kasia floral print dress
The dance photos are just wonderful. I like the floral Erdem dress but LOVE the green 1950s style. It's superb. Great outfits on this trip. Lovely photo of the couple in the third pic.
ReplyDeleteSo nice and sporty! I love the CoW's hairdo and the green dress, which has a perfect length for its model this time.
ReplyDeleteThe first dress is okay, but I don't like it with the white jacket. I can't see the length, but probably 'it's too long' for the countess.

Sophie Wessex is a beautiful woman. her interaction with children, with seniors, with war veterans is amazing. She could teach diplomacy and smiles. Sophie has proved, despite her difficult beginnings, that she is an effective and popular member of the royal family: reliable, always positive, never complains and does not do drama... The photos where Sophie dances are simply great. I fully understand why the queen enjoyes Sophie´s society. Sophie shines, but does not overshadow others. Stephanie
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right. She has a warmth and glow that light up the room.
DeleteI love both of these outfits!
I totally agree!

Spot on, well written comments. Stephanie really nailed it with “Sophie shines, but does not overshadow others.” Lucky for us, Sophie has so many royal engagements.
DeleteAs for the green dress, well, i can only say it is awesome. Lovely colour. Classic cut. Comfortable and flattering. I want this dress!

Vraiment charmante Sophie qui a su se vêtir en conséquence pour ces célébrations ; j'aime beaucoup la robe verte idéale pour esquisser des pas de danse !
ReplyDeleteYet another day of wonderful outings from Edward and Sophie! Sophie's style choices are A+--I understand she might have needed the jacket as it might have been a bit cool. The green dress is smashing--loved it the first time I saw it and still do. The pictures of Sophie dancing are great--she looks like she is having a wonderful time. She always seems to hit the right note wherever she goes and whatever she does--a true treasure for the BRF and HM.

She is gorgeous. The green dress looks fabulous and perfect for her dance, she can shine on the dance floor too. She's a sweetheart.
ReplyDeleteYes, yes
DeleteI love green dress and dancing photos. She looks fantastic, wonderful!

I watched Sophie on You tube, this dance sequence was fantastic. She definitely had the right moves and rhythm. She seemed to enjoy herself and smiled the whole time. The green dress was the perfect choice, it had plenty of flair. Well done to her.
ReplyDeleteDress with white jacket looks nice too. I think Sophie has the perfect face for having her hair up.

"Oozing" charm and charisma!!!
ReplyDelete"oozing", what a strange comment!
DeleteSophie looks great here.

Sophie è una bella scoperta, sembra rinata a nuova vita. Bella la giacca bianca sul vestito a fiori e, ancora di più, il vestito verde brillante. Lo stile "a ruota" anni '50 le sta d'incanto.
ReplyDeleteAgree with all the positive comments. And as a passionate dancer myself, I love these pictures!
ReplyDeleteI like both outfits but that green dress is my favorite. Those dance photos are wonderful just as her interraction with people around her.
ReplyDeleteShe always look so warm and sweet. Always pleasure to get updates about her engagements.
