The multifunctional center for children, De Kindervriend, is a collaboration between Medisch Pedagogisch Instituut, Vrije Basisschool voor Buitengewoon Onderwijs - De Kindervriend (a school for special education) and the Centrum voor Ambulante Revalidatie. Together they provide care and support to families that have children with intellectual disabilities.

The colours of the dress are lovely, but not the cut.
Her dedication is most impressive here,

  2. Love the dress and the colors, would have chosen different clolor for the clutch, though.

Once again this is a very nice daytime, working style dress for Mathilde. It suits her and gives her all the room for comfort she requires where she needs it. The pattern does a good job of detracting from the tiers. Kudos to Mathilde for participating in this wonderful cause.
(PS As far as accessories, I would have liked to have seen her wearing the same hat/crown that the young boy is wearing in the first photo...)

@Anon 9:13. It is the boy's birthday. As Rollegem is located in the Flemish part of Belgium, it is the custom in Flemish schools when a child has his birthday, he or she (until a certain age) receives a paper crown which can be worn the whole day.

Ahhh...thank you for telling me that Anon 16:14 I didn't know it was his birthday, nor know of that tradition. All I saw was that it was a crown style hat and since Mathilde is a Queen, I thought it would be humorous to see her wearing it. But happy for the sweet boy and once again praise to Mathilde for supporting this lovely cause for children.

Queen Mathilde in one of her lovely summer dresses. Excellent to visit vulnerable children who need special attention. She cares a lot for these children.

Queen Mathilde not only visits these children but she gets on their level and communicates with them. I think this dress is gorgeous. It fits her well, and the colorful print is wonderful. I really like her green earrings.

Not a fan of the print, or the colors of the dress.

Queen Mathilde looks wonderful and her dress is beautiful! I think this is kind of visit that Mathilde really enjoys--she worked with children in her speech therapy practice before her marriage and this is the type of school she might have worked in or supported the children attending had she not married Philippe.

  8. Ces couleurs très estivales se sont toujours bien accordées surtout par rapport à sa blondeur mais j'aurais bien vu sa pochette (clutch) dans une couleur gris foncé, par exemple !

I like the colours and print of the dress which QM wore yesterday, but somehow the sleeves ruin the look for me as they seem to tight (and maybe they should have been 1"/2.5 cm longer).

    1. Yes the sleeves are the weak point.

Yes, I agree. The gathered skirt provides enough interest without adding gathered sleeves. I do like the cheery, colourful print though for a visit like this. (V.M.)

@ I do not agree with you about the sleeves. Making gathered sleeves longer is making the dress looking older.
Of course comparing with the model, QM her arms are not so thin qshers.

Again a miss for me. Don't like anything here.

  11. The colors of this dress, look good and suit the Queen. The dress is pretty, the sleeves look to be problematic, tight?
This is a wonderful organisation with stimulating initiatives. Her interaction with the children is very admirable. She seemed to have a real connection to them, these photos are splendid. How marvellous for the children.
