On May 12, 2022, King Felipe and Queen Letizia visited the town of Pinofranqueado in Las Hurdes located in the province of Cáceres to commemorate the centenary of the trip of King Alfonso XIII to the region of Cáceres. During their visit, the King and Queen toured the town.
King Alfonso XIII toured a good number of municipalities and farmhouses between June 20 and 24, 1922, accompanied by authorities and famous names of the time, such as Dr. Gregorio Marañón. That expedition had a wide echo in the national press of the time and was the trigger for a series of measures aimed at improving health care in the region.
Sweet Matitos Girasol cotton blend skirt
Letizia has gone back to the 1950's and not in a good way. The skirt is very twee.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm just glad she's not showing off her midriff today :)
Una falda preciosa, alegre, colorida, muy primaveral y la blusa, que ya tiene 10 años, tiene un verde fantástico y muy favorecedor. Las alpargatas de cuña son ideales para recorrer caminos y calles empedradas. Pareja perfecta.
ReplyDeletePretty and summery.

Yes, indeed.
DeleteLovely just lovely. The perfect outfit for the occasion.
ReplyDeleteNice summery outfit. This skirt looks so much better with the green blouse than it did in its previous wearing with the cream top. Is it meant to have an uneven hem? In some photos it looks quite level but not in others.
ReplyDeleteLove the deep green blouse with the skirt and espadrilles. Letizia look is perfection. I'm curious about the cane the King carried. What is its purpose? Speaking of the king, he looks especially handsome.

IMO the king does not age very well. Siv
DeleteStunning look from Queen Letizia--the green blouse is a wonderful color for her and I love it paired with the floral skirt. I also love her choice of espadrilles with this look--fresh, summery, and casual chic. The little girls are adorable and their outfits are beautiful!

Love the colors of the skirt and the green blouse. A lovely summery outfit. I noticed it too that the hemline is not always even.
ReplyDelete@ Debra. On this website I learned that the cane King Felipe is carrying is the town mayor's cane. Each time he visits a village King Felipe receives the mayor's cane for the time of his visit and is owner of the town. I hope I got it right, otherwise the Spaniards will not be amused if I remembered it not quite right.
Très estivale cette tenue ; la jupe a l'avantage de pouvoir être portée avec une autre couleur de chemisier que le vert en fonction de l'humeur , j'adore les espadrilles !
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit of the lady with the orange blazer. Well coordinated with the beige pants and top. I like her hairstyle very much. Young hairstyle and on trend.
ReplyDeleteLove it. She is so beautiful today. I want that skirt.
ReplyDeleteThe top no. The skirt yes with a sweater or a simple top.
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful skirt worn by QL. I prefer this colour top over the white one she wore on it before, as now both the skirt as well as the top stand out. The model of the blouse could have done without the 'shawl' for me.
