H&M Patterned Maxi Skirt
That´s an odd skirt. Looks like something found at a second hand shop.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is horrible, it is too fussy, the print is ugly, the skirt is too long. Crown Princess Victoria desperately needs a stylist. Princess Victoria is a lovely woman, with a beautiful smile, she is very engaged in her work, but unfortunately does not always make the right fashion choices. MJT
ReplyDeleteShe has a stylist, but i think the wrong one…
DeleteI don’t like this outfit on CPV. She’s tried to tie in the black bands of the skirt by wearing a black blouse, but it still looks a bit garish to me. Maybe black shoes would have helped? Regardless, I think she has many other choices that are better than this. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the thumbnail of the first photo on its own I couldn't believe my eyes; then I saw the second photo and the other person's outfit and wondered if there was a whimsical theme behind the outfits (which there could have been given the children's book illustrator award), but after considering that, I still don't like the two layer different lengths of Victorias skirt. I quite like the bright, artistic, multi coloured fabric but not what's been made with it.

This ensemble looks like someone had a brilliant design idea that flopped big time!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like she is wearing 2 skirts, a short skirt with a longer skirt underneath. Don't like the colors. This is horrible.
ReplyDeleteSi è una gonna strana, sarà l'effetto delle balze sovrapposte. Lo stile è un po' gitano o hippy, forse più da serata al mare che ad un evento.
ReplyDeleteWell, I am grateful she chose to only wear the skirt! Can't decide if I might just a little bit like this rather odd outfit if she hadn't worn the green shoes. I love that she wants to support and promote Swedish fashion but I know there has to be better choices for her than this skirt. She looks so happy and vibrant that she can almost, almost, almost pull this off because I feel like we just want her to do it.

I tend to agree, that if she had worn black shoes, it would have pulled the outfit together.
DeleteWho is the man in the white dress?
ReplyDeleteThis skirt could have been fun and edgy with those pleated weaves, vibrant colors, and all-over print, but sadly the inset trims ruin it for me (I dislike how contrasting black horizontal lines chop up the skirt making it look off and ugly). But then I've never been fan of HM design.

The CP looks lovely, but I don't like tiered skirts or dresses and this one is no different. IMO the print of the fabric is not the most attractive unfortunately, this fabric design is an acquired taste, obviously Princess Victoria likes it and that's all that matters, she looks confident and happy, lovely to see. The black blouse is nice, I love the subtle pieces of jewellery she choose. The green shoes, I don't care for with this outfit.
ReplyDeleteAwful. Not even the combo could save this outfit.
ReplyDeleteI'm more interested in what the award recipient is wearing! Elle
ReplyDeleteA black pantsuit.
DeleteI like the skirt! Especially combined with a black top. She looks great!
ReplyDeleteAgree it's an attractive look on CPV, very festive looking. The only wrong note for me are the shoes, this neon shade of green is too garish. She could have picked up the light blue, or stuck with neutral black. S.M.
DeleteHmm, it gives the impression CPV is wearing a short skirt over a long skirt. Maybe if the layers would have fallen smooth over each other and the skirt would have been floor length it would have been an okay skirt, but the way it's now I don't like it.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic skirt. It's so youthful and swinging. Victoria looks really great. Would have been perfect with a more loose hair-do. Can she please sometime get rid of that severe looking hair bun. So boring.
ReplyDelete2 skirts for the price of o1???
ReplyDeleteI strangely like the skirt on her.
ReplyDeleteI must be the only one that loves the skirt, however not the way she is wearing it, I think it would be so great with sandals, espadrilles, an informal top, and a wide brimmed straw hat, to go for a stroll or an outdoor event. High heels, severe hair, serious blouse etc., is just the wrong combination. Wasn’t she wearing the same blouse in green a couple I’d days ago?
ReplyDeleteCherry
Victorias skirt is so so. Not the best of choices, OMO.
ReplyDeleteHappy outfit on CP Victoria.
ReplyDeleteI find the contrast between Eva Lindström's understated elegance and the gypsy girl fairytale style of the princess interesting. I can't say I like the skirt, but Victoria manages to wear it gracefully and balances the excess of colours and layers with a simple bun that suits her very well. She looks very pretty.
