On April 5, the Duchess of Cornwall met with Booker Prize winner British writer Bernardine Evaristo at Clarence House in London on the occasion of the writer’s appointment as the new president of Royal Society of Literature. Founded in 1820, the RSL is the UK’s charity for the advancement of literature. The Duchess is Royal Patron of Royal Society of Literature.
Same dress, same boots ... A shade of blue which suits the DoC well, but it's all so predictable.

I wish the Palace would publish the official date for the Camilla Debooting Day.
DeleteI could then send out the invitations for a little tea party to my royal loving neighbours in my street.
Robe déjà portée que j'aurais bien vue avec des petits talons noirs surtout pour cette rencontre à Clarence House - Je crois voir un bracelet Van Cleef & Arpels ; porte t-elle des boucles d'oreilles dans le même style ?!
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely ladies united in their love for literature,

This dress is atrocious. It doen't fit. The row of buttons turns to the right, as seen on the photo (for Camilla the buttons turn to the left). The only good thing here is the blue color.
ReplyDeleteVery very severe comment. Predictable, a bit dull but some positive points
DeleteThe dress is serviceable. Not much to report but the color is nice and she looks happy. The room decor, on the other hand, is atrocious. It looks like the display room of a dusty antique shop. Pass me the feather duster!
ReplyDeleteYes, @Lisa Paris, I homed in on the decor. Rare opportunity to see what goes on behind closed doors. To me the decor is the normal, busy, "so British" style. In a village cottage, it would be seen as a nice "cosy" decor.
Delete@Lisa Paris. I agree about the "dusty antique shop".
DeleteSuch a lovely blue shade for the Duchess!
ReplyDeleteThanks, @deadeggs, that is quite interesting. I was mesmerized by the rooster on the mantelpiece. As Alice said, "curioser and curioser."
ReplyDeleteI really hope this is an optical illusion -- her breasts are not even. She has always been in need of better bras. She has the means. I cannot understand why she is not better, uh, supported. Her dressmaker, in my view, lacks imagination. Camilla's dresses look so similar. This dress is just one of many in this style. The color is flattering, but that is about it. I am still waiting for her boots to retire for the year. It seems as though they aren't going to go without a fight. ~d
ReplyDeleteand Camilla will be happy if the boots win :-))
DeleteI like her makeup ;makes her face look bright. The dress style is nice ,the colour is boring. The boots are okay for out and about on a cold day. The Duchess needs to try a few styles, and colours of court shoes; to develop her own signature style. I like the room it looks pretty eclectic.(Tabby)
ReplyDeleteCamilla has never been a fashionista, but she usually at least looks good. This dress though, it's just ill fitting and plain in a bad way. It needed a pop of something for sure.
ReplyDeleteBoth ladies look happy and colourful!
