Today, Danish Queen Margrethe turned 82. The Queen's 82nd birthday celebration took place at Marselisborg Castle in Aarhus. The Queen and the members of royal family, Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, Princess Isabella, Prince Christian, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine watched the birthday parade and greeted people from the veranda of the castle. This was the first time in three years that the Queen's birthday was celebrated with a parade. Princess Isabella wore a new blazer by Hugo Boss.

Lovely to see all of them. The children sure are growing up fast. Isabella looks lovely. One thing I will say, they are a very affectionate family and are not shy to show their family affection publicly. This is wonderful - the world needs more love.

Mary looks stunning love what she is wearing. Her hair looks great. she looks refreshed, happy &, relaxed after her recent holiday in Australia. Like the style of Isabella's jacket not sure of the colour though. Mary

ReplyDeleteI think Princess Josephine's has inherited her mother's fashion sense. I love her blazer. Princess Isabella's blazer is nice too but it looks too large for her. Mary is her stylish self, and the Crown Prince and the not so little Princes look very handsome.
ReplyDeleteAnd, of course, Queen Margrethe looks wonderful in her plaid suit, blue blouse and earrings. I wish we had a better view of her brooch and the jewel pinned to her neckline. Happy Birthday, Happy Easter, and Happy Golden Jubilee to Her Majesty.
The brooch was a gift for her 75th birthday from Aarhus municipality. (Where she is today). Designed by Alice Rosborg. Gold with 9 brilliants. One represents the Queen, 5 sapphires the male grandchildren and 3 brilliants the female grandchildren.
DeleteIls forment une belle famille qui a su se retrouver à l'occasion de l'anniversaire de la Reine à qui un joyeux anniversaire lui est souhaité ; belles photos qui montrent entre-autres Mary superbe dans un manteau qui doit épouser à merveille sa silhouette ainsi qu'Isabella dont le blazer à un seul bouton aurait mérité une couleur plus claire !

ReplyDeleteLook at the careful colour scheme. Blue for the Ukraine, black, white and purple, the colours of mourning. The Danish royal family is very good at symbolic performances.
