On April 13, 2022, Dutch Queen Maxima attended a meeting of the organization Kansfonds relating to its program called 'All young people must have a home' in Zoetermeer. The program supports initiatives with innovative ideas to combat homelessness among young people. Minister of Health, Welfare and Sports Van Ooijen was also present at the meeting.
Queen Maxima and Minister Van Ooijen spoke with young people who are part of the Wise Council about what made the difference for them in their search for a home. Queen Maxima then joined the action research session on collaboration with housing associations to listen to issues encountered by the initiatives in their work. Kansfonds supports homeless people in the Netherlands and aims to help those living on the poverty line.
Is it lets wear burgundy week? Not a fan of the skirt, might look better with shoes. Km
ReplyDeleteyeah, time to break out the spring colors

Wonderful mono coloured look of QM; hair, make-up, belt, length of skirt, boots and beautiful earrings ... all works well. For this week, however, it's enough of the burgundy red.

DeleteShe looks fantastic. Love the skirt and the boots. As she has a lot of burgundy and red clothes in different shades she can go on for a while especially is the weather is not going to be better.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks fabulous. Beautiful rich burgundy color, suits her beautifully. The combination she has chosen works well. Her hair up, looks terrific.
ReplyDeleteWow, such an overwhelming cape outfit for the occasion. And what an unfortunate side shot of the lady in light blue; women need to stop wearing clothes a size too small; perhaps use an anti-static or have a lining.
ReplyDeleteI love the color of Máxima's outfit - so what if people are still wearing darker colors; we may wear what we want. Some people simply do not like or look good in lighter spring/summer colors and/or fabrics. Goodness!

I feel sorry for the lady in blue, such an unflattering picture for her. But… the way she looks makes perfectly clear why the Dutch, among the worst dressers in the world, think Maxima is the epithome of elegance.

I have to agree, Max looks fantastic...especially in that last photo.
ReplyDeleteAnd so what if she wears burgundy all week? She's dressing to please herself, not us; more importantly it's a colour that suits her. Very nice.

I agree.
DeleteSeems one of the big colors for this spring is this deep shade of red--merlot, burgundy, maroon, etc. So, in that respect, Maxima is completely on point. I like her whole look but feel the fabric of the skirt might look better with shoes over the boots--the boots are beautiful but seem a bit heavy with this fabric. Her hair and makeup are perfect.
ReplyDeleteSitting pigeon-toed, looks rather sloppy and something a teenager would do. Tired of all the red, maroon clothing. Spring is on the way, is there something different in her closet? clare
ReplyDeleteTaller, bigger ladies who have to sit for a long time in an uncomfortable chair also sit like that, not just teenagers.

È di moda il monocolore e Maxima lo mette in pratica. Molto bella la gonna, il tessuto "effetto pelle" la rende leggera sul corpo e non appesantisce. Io però direi basta con queste mantelle!
