Accompanied by her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, Princess Anne is on a three-day visit to Sydney on behalf of the Queen in celebration of her Platinum Jubilee. On the second day of their visit to Australia, Princess Anne and Sir Tim Laurence visited the New South Wales Rural Fire Service Headquarters in Homebush. The Princess met with families of fallen volunteer firefighters Geoff Keaton and Andrew O'Dwyer.
The Princess Royal looks great in her casual gear, love the Navy jacket and cream pants, very appropriate ensemble for the occasion.
ReplyDeleteHow marvellous the Princess Royal paid a visit to our Rural Fire Service Headquarters in Homebush. I am sure she gave comfort to the two families who lost their loved ones, volunteer firefighters, who died during the bushfires, so tragic, bless them.
The little girls giving the Princess flowers, she put them at ease. Its been a great visit and well done to her.
Princess Anne is such a fantastic ambassador for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

Princess Ann also wanted to visit the flood victims in the state ;but roads and areas were still cut off ;some areas had well over 200millimetres plus of rain, it had been raining for days.(Tara)
Princess Anne is not interested in fashion, she wears sensible old style clothes. She could look much younger because she has a nice slim figure. She desperately need to cut her hair, it looks like straw and she has not changed the style in decades . For this occasion her outfit is appropriate.

@MJT: "She could look much younger", Sure, she could. The question is though, is it bad to look your own age? - I also don't think that more fashionable outfits make you look automatically younger. They make you look more fashionable, but not younger. So, here we have Princess Anne, who wants to look neither younger nor fashionable. But she looks excellent.

@MJT Agree with you. Take the outfit of today : I liked it until I saw the ill-fitted pants and strange shoes she is wearing. Her hair is exactly like you described it like straw. I think she never sees a hairdresser.

I think she's delved into her sailor's wardrobe for the ensemble as back home, she is a very keen sailor.

Princess Anne is royal in her style the old-fashioned way with tailor-made clothes, as Duchess Camilla and Princess Benedicte. International fashion brands came with the new generation of royals CP Mary and Queen Letizia ..... and then we got a lot of fashion blogs. Fashion comes first.

You can hardly compare Princess Anne and Duchess Camilla with Princess Benedicte. At least Princess Benedicte's outfits are elegant and fashionable even if they are tailor-made.

ReplyDeleteAnne's casual wear for the outing is nice, though darker shoes might have kept the line clean and longer, though she looks great. She is the hardest working royal, and do not require a lot of fuss and muss, though I personally am not fond of her hair, she must like it, and as it's always the same, has kept to her mantle of re-wear to include her hairstyle.
