On April 2, 2022, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden attended a fundraising concert organized for Ukraine at Avicii Arena (formerly the Ericsson Globe) in Stockholm. Ticket revenues will go in full to the International Red Cross, Proliska, UN Women Sweden, Fight for Right, Civil Rights Defenders and The Media Initiative for Human Rights.

This pantsuit is quite nice. The accessories, bag and shoe color I am not fan of. The earrings are a no also, too big and busy.
ReplyDeleteSome common views, the hand bag is too casual for her outfit, earrings are ok paired with the suit for an evening event IMV
DeleteThe outfit looked nice till I saw a brown hand bag, then the too short pants with nude or no stockings. It broke the complete line of the outfit. IF she had worn dark stockings it would not have broken the long lean line that had already been created. The earrings appear, from the photos we have seen, to be a little too long. However, the look is nice with both of them.
ReplyDeletePants are too short to be elegant. I don't mind wearing beige or grey shoes with black but than the handbag has to have the same color. Or wearing
ReplyDelete1) a black pant suit with a light top
2) a little necklace
3) smaller earrings
4) black court shoes
5) an embellished clutch (bling, bling) in a light color
Elégante dans ce tailleur-pantalon - Les longues boucles d'oreiles qui me semblent fantaisie ? apportent une petite touche colorée peut-être pour s'accorder en partie à la cravate de Carl Philip ?!
ReplyDeleteThey both look great and happy. Beautiful couple.
ReplyDeleteCharity concert just now? Take a look at Poland. There, people help from the very beginning, that is from February 24. And I don't mean the concerts here.
ReplyDeleteDorothea
Oh congratulations to Poland. No point anybody else doing anything then since Poland win.

There is a LOT of virtue signalling going on in the world. Charity is all well and good, but I have several problems with that:
Deletea) charity seems very selective (anyone aware of any concert held for Yemen? For Palestine? etc.);
b) the people who "care" so much suddenly didn´t seem aware of this conflict brewing for the past 8 years;
c) people who "care" so much often cared equally much for feminism, BLM, saving the climate, flying rainbow flags and now went straight on to supporting Ukraine. There is a lot of bandwaggon-jumping;
d) instead of raising money through charity, the wealthy people could single-handedly solve all financial hardship in the world without leaving a noticeable dent in their wealth. Instead they seem to make profit off weapon sales or the newly reshuffled energy market;
e) better than supporting any side in the conflict would be to call for peace.
f) I wonder where the "fight for right"-people, "civil right defenders", the "media initiative for human rights" etc. were during the pandemic.
The world is becoming more absurd by the day.
PS. The Polish people have made a great humanitarian effort. Yet I don´t see a lot of praise from the EU. Wonder why...
Dorothea, many people from Sweden and Finland are in Poland to take the refugees to our countries. We need a lot of charity here. The money of these concerts is a big help.

DeleteI see that you don't like Poland. They are helping. I'm so sorry that you don't see it.
Dorothea
Dorothea you see nothing of the sort - you interpret my comment that way.
DeleteI take issue with your comment because you make it sound like it's some sort of competition.
G
Dorothea, perhaps your original comment didn't need to be made, in which case none of the other comments would have followed. None of this has served a useful purpose. This is the worst time to bicker. Please, let's all see the greater picture. ~d
DeleteDorothea: And WHERE was Poland 2015-2016 when Sweden and other countries received many refugees ?!? Every single initiative to help Ukraine is good and not too late, because they need and will need lots of help.
DeleteSofia and Carl Philip shine together ❤❤
Agnes
They don't look at each other like that anymore. The look that used to be no longer exists. Life. Routine.
ReplyDeleteMaria Alejandra de Mio
Unless both of them are squint-eyed individuals, they are looking at each other on the third last picture.
DeleteMimi
It happens in marriages and its not a big deal. Just phisiologic.

Good workethic, Bravo. Mary
ReplyDeletePrincess Sofia don't help Ukrainians.
ReplyDeleteBePa
How go you know ? They are not filmed the whole day long. It can be in a discreet way.
DeleteThe suit with the shoes looks elegant. The slouchy brown bag is too casual an does not match at all. It seems that she is wearing only ONE earring. That is not suitable for a princess in my opinion. It would be better if she would wear two of these beautiful statement-earrings.
ReplyDeleteI think she does. If you look carefully at the 1st photo you can see a little part of the other earring which is mostly covered by her hair.
DeleteShe is wearing two earrings. You can see them better in other photos from the event posted online.
DeleteIt's just a concert. Look at Poland. They are really helping Ukraine.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, Anon 14:50? Poland borders on Ukraine & has been hit hard with refugees right from the beginning; so of course they would spring into action immediately (they had no choice). So maybe just please don't criticize other farther-flung countries. This is only one concert; behind the scenes many countries have provided help that we don't even know about. *Regina
DeleteYay Poland. Does it not cost them anything then? Do they not need money to help?
DeleteSofia looks nice. Wish the trousers were longer and that she chosen a different handbag--the one she is carrying looks like an everyday bag. Regarding her earrings--they hard to see much about because her hair is down. Had Sofia worn her hair up or in a ponytail the earrings would have worked better. Carl Philip looks handsome as always.
ReplyDeletePeople! this is about the fashion of the royals, not about what country is helping Ukraine.
ReplyDeleteThere is enough fighting in the world right now, lets keep it nice on this site and use it for what it is.
It is very sad for the Ukrainian people, shocking.
Normally noble people all do charity. The only difference is that they don't show what they are doing. They will not tell you how much money they give, they will not always be present on television or in the media in general to tell you how much charity they have done yet. They prefer to do it behind the scenes.
ReplyDeleteEvery west European country has done as much as they could and still do for the Ukrainian people. My country prepared houses and appartements that were empty to receive the refugees. Other groups of refugees has found a home in buildings like empty parts of schools, homes for elderly, buildings that were offices before the tragedy started. Several initiatives opened bank accounts where we can donate money to help the refugees find their way in a new country, and I can go on and on...... Don't tell us we did nothing or too late.
I forgot all the people that organised transport to Poland full of goods like food, clothes, blankets, medical products, baby food, pampers, etc... etc...
