Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo attended the Dior Grand Gala at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice on the opening day of Venice Art Biennale on Saturday. Over four hundred guests were present at the gala. The 2022 Venice Art Biennale is supported by Dior.
Dior has once again collaborated with the non-profit organization Venetian Heritage dedicated to the restoration and conservation of the cultural treasures of Venice, and held jointly a charity gala on Saturday at the Teatro La Fenice for the purpose of raising funds for the restoration of the Ca 'd'Oro Museum and Ukrainian refugees in Italy.
The Ca’ d’Oro Museum on the Grand Canal is considered the best surviving palazzo in Venetian Gothic architecture. One of the older palaces in the city, its name means "golden house" due to the gilt and polychrome external decorations which once adorned its walls.
Fine for a Venice art Biennale !
ReplyDeleteLike you said fine for this event in Venice.

Beatrice is a pretty young women but this dress isn´t doing her any favour. Neither the colour nor the style of the dress suit her.
ReplyDeleteAgree
DeleteOh yes it does. If there is anyone who can wear this kind of dress it is her. It is really a dress for Venice. I think Dior created this dress to remind the "Carnaval de Venise". Perhaps that is why the model is wearing a carnival mask over her eyes.
ReplyDeleteOne of the most beautiful Royals in Europe.
DeleteBeatrice è bella ed ha un fisico che le permette di indossare qualsiasi abito, ma stavolta per me è un NO!
ReplyDeleteSemplicemente meravigliosa.
ReplyDeletePerfect for a big fete in Venice. Would love to know more about those huge and beautiful earrings.
ReplyDeleteBeau modèle de Dior original mais à mon avis, il conviendrait mieux pour le carnaval de Venise !
ReplyDeleteThe line between vulgarity and haute couture can indeed be very thin. Thankfully Beatrice's natural elegance and beauty saves her here. But I cannot think of anyone else in Royal/Aristo Europe who could work this look.
DeleteI agree with the remark above mine' s.
ReplyDeleteThis woman never disappoints! Always stunning and this outfit is very appropriate for the dramatic scene of Venice.

It definitely is an artistic dress, well fitting and in line with the Venice Art Biennale, but do I like it ? No, not so much, as other things than art come to my mind.

Spider-Lady arrives in Venice thanks to the stylists at Dior.
ReplyDeleteOui le bas est vulgaire
ReplyDeleteAmazing, dramatic dress. Not for everybody but Beatrice looks great in it. -Siri
ReplyDeleteT he dress looks like a leotard with string over the top;a bit tacky, maybe in a different colour.(Tabby)
ReplyDeleteThis is a very commanding and attention grabbing gown, but unfortunately I don't like this at all. From the waist down, its transparent, overall not a elegant look. I do like the black cape.
ReplyDeleteHo visto foto di altre ospiti vestite in questo nuovo stile "gotico", forse una serata a tema.
ReplyDeleteMa nessuna bella come Beatrice!
Attention grabbing for 'some event', not a good look on her.
ReplyDeleteShe dresses to draw attention to herself, almost always. Almost anywhere. And it works, but not necessarily in a good way sometimes.
DeleteBeatrice is always so beautiful and here demonstrates the expression "would look good even in a bin bag" I know it's an arts festival and therefore something more unusual can be expected but a black leotard with scraps of fabric is not classy, even if she is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteGood grief! If Beatrice and Pierre get any more glamorous it will be embarrassing. Gonna start calling them the Movie Star Aristocrats. They are both so gorgeous it is blinding!
ReplyDeleteStrike!
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw these pics, Beatrice's evening dress produced a flow of adjectives in my mind: surely "edgy" for a lady belonging to a royal family, but so subtly intriguing, wonderful, almost gloomy and mysterious like the night, a game of the seen and the unseen.
An angel face covered with darkness.
Fashion is a form of art itself and I detect a fil rouge between the gothic architetture of this Venetian palace and the gothic flair of this unique dress.
This evening gown is a work of art and the cape is a splendid finishing touch.
The contrast between the neutral tones of Beatrice's makeup ,who is also a natural blonde, and the deep black colour of her ensemble is perfect.
The green stones of her earrings are like a blaze in the obscurity.
I could image no other royal lady being so dazzling in an outfit like this.
Pierre is extremely handsome.
What an amazing couple!
P. the original. Well said, beautifully articulated. It made me relook the gown in a different perspective.
DeleteThank you so much, Ava.
DeleteTatler considers Beatrice as the most elegant royal in Europe, overpassing Queen Letizia and Kate Middleton.
