On April 6, 2022, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden hosted the annual Official Dinner (Representationsmiddag 2022) in Karl XI's Gallery at the Royal Palace of Stockholm. Among guests of the dinner, there were representatives from the diplomatic corps, the Riksdag and the Swedish Government. The guests were welcomed by The King and Queen, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia and Princess Christina in the Vita Havet Assembly Rooms.
Love CP Victoria's dress & tiara. Mary
ReplyDeleteI agree totally. The Crown Princess Victoria is absolutely stunning. The red colour and the pattern with the off-shoulder-neckline are very glamorous and flattering. Her jewellery and the hairdo are perfect.
DeleteIn comparison Princess Sofia's dress looks boxy and dowdy.
Agree! Victoria looks wonderful. This shade of red is perfect for her.
DeleteEveryone looks fabulous! The 3 princesses all look beautiful but for me, Queen Silvia looks smashing. I might be swayed by the fact she is wearing the gorgeous Leuchtenberg sapphires but I also think she really does look marvelous. CP Victoria looks great in her red gown--and I do love that she's wearing Princess Lillian's tiara as I think it looks so wonderful on her. My only quibble is the pendant of her necklace is a bit too long for her neckline. I love the deep purple of Christina's gown. Sofia looks lovely but I have never been a fan of this gown--the color is beautiful on her but I don't like the style. All of the gentlemen look dashing. Its so wonderful to see all of this again--I have really missed the gowns, the jewels, etc.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with you, Janet.

DeleteMe too Janet, especially the dreams they give us.
Further agreement here. How wonderful to see the jewel bright dresses and the amazing jewellery. Just stunning.
DeleteThe Royal ladies,, looks sensational. Particularly Queen Silvia, her gown is divine , but her jewels are splendid. CP Victoria's gown is superb, she looks very striking. Pss Christina looks beautifully groomed.
ReplyDeleteI agree, particularly for the queen and CP Victoria.
DeleteVictoria's tiara is not on straight. Other than that, she looks gorgeous. in her beautiful red gown. Nice to see Christina; she looks lovely in her purple gown & signature button tiara. *Regina
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you Janet, on all accounts, I couldn’t have said it better.
ReplyDeleteEspecially the style of Sofia’s dress, never liked it, however better seeing it from the back.
Elles sont toutes belles même si j'ai une préférence pour Victoria dans cette robe rouge qui met en valeur sa silhouette ; très joli décolleté mais je trouve son collier légèrement trop long ; cela empêche de mieux voir son pendentif !
ReplyDeleteThe Queen really understands how to dress beautifully.
ReplyDeleteVictoria: nice but the necklace is a bit too much.
Sophia: I donot understand: where is that lovely young woman who dressed so well?
This, I find, an awfull dress.

The Swedish royal family is one of the few, where most members often participate in large official events. Great ..... then you get to see many of the royal house's magnificent jewels. The dresses are beautiful too, but Princess Sofia should change the neckline on her green one, in my opinion. / K
ReplyDeleteHello, I'd like to know why my posts aren't being allowed. Thank you kindly.

A general reaction : Tiaras + necklaces + earrings + bracelets = too much. It belongs to ancient times.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful tiara and earrings in the same style = OK. A beautiful bracelet not too big OR a ring with the same stone(s) as the tiara can be added too, but that's it. More jewels is not appreciated by the people any more. The times that royals were overloaded with jewelry are over.
OMG, Sophia again as her own granny. Frieda
