On April 28, 2022, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain held a lunch in honor of President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Rumen Radev, and the First Lady, Mrs. Desislava Radeva, who are on a working visit to Spain. The lunch took place at the Zarzuela Palace in Madrid. King Felipe also held a meeting with the President.
Carolina Herrera Floral Pink Coat
The Queen's coat looks like a child's frock, and not a good one at that.
ReplyDeleteyes. time to handy down to Lenor
Deletejill
The Queen looks like her daughter or Twiggy.
ReplyDeleteIs this a compliment: I am in doubt.

I think the outfit is too short. Just right below the knee would have looked better. She looks like she is wearing one of her daughters outfits.
ReplyDeleteI think that coat looks childish on queen Letizia
ReplyDeleteI think that coat looks childish on queen Letizia
ReplyDeleteIt's not often that I dislike a dress worn by Letizia, but, in my opinion, this coatdress looks too juvenile for a queen. But, I love the color and the floral print, and, her shoes are gorgeous. The first lady's outfit is lovely and her brooch is very pretty. I wish more ladies wore brooches.
ReplyDeleteQueen Letizia is just adorable in this beautiful outfit, love especially the color.

Me too! Yes, it's young looking but such a cute dress- coat! One of my all time favorites!!
DeleteOn this occasion I am not really fan of this coat. The wife of the president is nicely dressed.
ReplyDeleteI like the costume of the president's wife -Letitzia: the coat is too short and the high buttons make the whole outfit look bulky.
ReplyDeleteThat´s a nice coat, although it creates a rather juvenile look with the short length and high buttons. I think she should have combined it with a knee-length skirt to make it look more grown-up.
ReplyDeleteI like the brooch placement on Mrs. Radeva´s outfit.
Questo cappottino è troppo corto, sembra quasi infantile.
ReplyDeleteLove this coat! Great rewear. Letizia in Carolina Herrera is always one of my favorite fashion pairings. The clothes fit Letizia to a tee.

Leti's "dress" looks like something Jackie Kennedy would have worn back in 1962 (and I'm not necessarily saying that in a good way). It would go perfect with the pills-box hat the DoC had on the other day. Are 1960s fashions coming back?

Although this is a nice coat, the overall look makes imv kind of childish impression. It's the wrong combination of the colour pink, the print and model
ReplyDeleteHer coat looks like it came from a 70s Barbie doll outfit.
ReplyDeleteShe looks just like one of her daughters. In the first picture I thought it was Leonor or Sofia..
ReplyDeleteThe delicate florals on this coat and the pink are so pretty for spring. Her makeup looks beautiful. Seems like not many on here are a fan of this look, but I like it, and did the first time she wore it.

Unfortunately this coat doesn't appeal to me, the length is too short for my liking, though I do like the delicate floral pattern, love the shoes. The First Lady, Mrs. Radeva, looks fabulous. I love her two piece ensemble, the color is very pretty. Love the brooch, placement is perfect. I would so love to see more brooches worn. She is quite tall and her shoes are lovely, great choice, I note the low heel. Well done to her.
ReplyDeleteAs written by many of the earlier commentors, also for me this coat is too short when worn in the way QL did it today. I can see her wear it in a casual way combined with f.i. jeans. The print reminds me of the brand Cath Kidston. The Bulgarian first lady looks pretty in this lavender combination, but I would change the shoes in another colour.

@Angie:
Delete1. There's absolutely no need to refer to Mrs Macron in your comment. If people consider the print of queen Letizia's coat childish, they're entitled to this opinion (even though you and I don't see it that way).
2. How do I need to interpret 'algo despeinada' with respect to the clothing of Mrs Radeva (sincere question!)? To me it looks it looks well ironed and well fit (walking stairs always does something to {straight} clothes ... even clothes worn by queen Letizia).
DeleteAnon 14:30 - algo despeinada refers to the hair not the clothing.
DeleteAngie - la Sra Bulgaria has a name.
It already has been said : Letizia looks childish with this coat.
ReplyDeleteThe wife of the Bulgarian president looks not bad but the top of her outfit is a bit too short. Brooch is lovely and placed perfectly. Nice shoes. Are the bows of the 60-ties are coming back ?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Infanta Sofia!
ReplyDeleteThe coat could be nice but it makes her look childish. Besides, being the shortest of the group, and being the coat very short itself, she really seems a little girl instead of a queen.

I like this look and I think Letizia looks great but I do agree there is a slightly "little girl" air to the outfit. But I think she is able to carry it off and it's also a versatile piece that could be worn more casually with jeans.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Radeva also looks very good.

Pues a mí me encanta, es juvenil, es un abrigo diferente. No todo tiene que ser serio y clásico.
