On April 27, 2022, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden attended the 2022 Crafoord Award ceremony at Lund University in Lund, and presented 2022 Awards to the winners. The Crafoord Award is one of the major international science prizes and is awarded jointly by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and the Crafoord Foundation in Lund. The Academy is responsible for selecting the laureates.
Anna-Greta and Holger Crafoord´s Foundation was established in 1980 and the first award was presented in 1982. The award aims to promote international basic research in the disciplines of Mathematics and Astronomy, Geosciences, Biosciences (with particular emphasis on ecology) and Polyarthritis (for example rheumatoid arthritis).
Maxjenny Sicily Skirt
Wow, very stylish, great combination!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree! She looks fantastic and this is one of her best outfits. Perfect fit and great style!
DeletePrincess Victoria is supporting the Swedish fashion industry.
DeleteMaxjenny (first name) Forslund (family name) is 47 year old woman who left the world of furniture design and turned to clothing fashion. It has been said that she is a creator who puts art and fashion together. It is also said that she is one of Scandinavia’s most innovative fashion and print designers. She loves working with prints on textiles in a way that makes every item unique.
Her work has been followed by big names such as Madonna.
I also feel quite positive about her outfit.
DeleteI do like this outfit on Victoria! The skirt is beautiful and the top is perfect for a Spring evening event. Very nice.

for me, it's a "love it".
DeleteA big no! Academic event and these bare shoulders don´t go together.
ReplyDeleteTrue, it looks odd with bare shoulders in an academic event. That's a big no. And the same old hairstyle. Sigh. The skirt is nice though.
DeleteNina, PhD
A big yes - for the academic eyes! Siv
DeletePosture, poise, perfect. Elle
ReplyDeleteYes a wow for me too.
ReplyDeleteShe looks fabulous, the skirt is gorgeous and the simple black top just sets the whole thing off. Great outfit.
Totally agree with you, Sharni, and others: great outfit, beautiful looking CPV.

Princess Victoria looks really stylish in that outfit . Black top goes so well with that skirt. Somehow I think black bag would have look better than red.
ReplyDeleteAva
Princess Victoria looks so stylish; the skirt pattern looks great, as does the top. The red clutch with the black shoes bring the whole outfit together.
ReplyDeleteDon’t really like the pattern on the skirt but overall it’s a great classy outfit. Princess Victoria looks great. AnnieM
ReplyDeleteBelle allure dans cette tenue ; elle a de magnifiques épaules très bien mises en valeur !
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful she looks here!
ReplyDeleteThis lovely feminine outfit makes her confident!
ReplyDeleteMabel
As somebody saied this is an academic event.. Marie
ReplyDeleteMuch better than the usual squared suits, but as someone said above, in this kind of event, shoulders should have been covered.

The Lund University is very modern - it is a temple of wisdom but not a church. Siv
DeleteGreat outfit, but the belt seems to be for big. Everything looks fine when she is standing but she can't sit naturally because of that big belt. HJ, the original
ReplyDeleteShe is always sitting like that, with or without a Belt
DeleteVictoria looks lovely : Great outfit, but it does not fits in for the event. LL
ReplyDeleteWhy not? Please explain! Siv
DeleteHonestly, in my optics, the outfit looks more suitable for a ballet /concert event than this academic award event , it reminds me of 'Grease', the movi.e.LL
DeleteWow, Victoria looks fantastic in this glamorous outfit!
ReplyDeleteI love It.
She is in perfect shape and so well toned.
Oh, wow. Crown Princess Victoria looks gorgeous in this top and skirt. Very feminine and festive look.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind her bare shoulders. She's in great shape and has nothing to be ashamed of. Nice change to see her in something else than those high neck blouses/dresses.
Kaarin
Lovely evening gown, gives V young and fashionable outlook. The only thing that I oppose to is always this very severe and strict way of her hair. With this gown she could have had her hair down on the shoulders

DeleteProbably not the best outfit for an academic event, but... CPV looks FA-BU-LOUS in it!
ReplyDeleteI am trying to understand the rule about covering your shoulders at an academic event?
ReplyDeleteIf the occasion is in the evening an involves awards, why would it be different, are academics different than others?
I think the skirt is original and the top fits her like a glove, she looks lovely!
Cherry
Agree with you Cherry.
DeleteAgreed.

Oh dear now I know why academics are supposed to be so dry and colourless. They are not allowed to look at shoulders. Both my husband and my son have Phd's. I am pretty sure the
ReplyDeleteI too think Victoria looks gorgeous. However I think the stretchy shoulders of the top should have been pushed up one centimetre higher and the fit around the bustline would have looked better. The skirt is outstanding.
Can anyone tell me where these ideas about fashion are coming from? I am continuously amazed by what pops up here. Bare shoulders would be out of place in church. I can't see why they should be out of place at an academic awards ceremony. I find it refreshing that she is out of her frumpy attire and wearing a more celebratory and youthful look. I am disappointed in her hair. This would have been a good time to have it styled. ~d
ReplyDeleteOnce again I am in total agreement with Cherry. Surely the Swedish royal family and indeed other royal family are astute enough to decide what is suitable for a specific event. I may just pull things out of my cupboard but I very much doubt that Victoria does!
ReplyDeleteStunning outfit, fits Victoria well, and is indeed beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThis totally works. It´s a wonderful silhouette, and it´s how a midi-skirt needs to be worn: some flair/volume, a defined waist, simple fitted top.
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit overall, though the print of the skirt is not my taste, the entire outfit was beautiful, and added to the lovely posture and smile of CP Victoria. annie
ReplyDeleteThe only I would have changed is the hair. So sick and tired of the bun. Softer hair would have looked young, stylish and modern.
