On March 22, 2022, The Countess of Wessex visited the 5th Battalion The Rifles, at their headquarters in Wiltshire. The Countess caught up with personnel and their families about their work over the past six months. The Countess presented honours and awards, including Long Service and Good Conduct Medals, and the Chief of the General Staff’s Commendation.

Victoria Beckham Tweed Side-Drape Midi Skirt
Sophie looks great here--and I loved her skirt until I saw it had that weird side drape. The 4th photo shows the drapey piece being whipped to the side by the wind--and the skirt looks wonderful as a pencil-style and Sophie is carrying it off too. I really don't like the side drape--its like the designer had extra fabric or the cutter made an error. I hope Sophie has it redesigned and tailors out that drape. However, the length is perfect and its super flattering.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great outfit on Sophie and I like her hair pulled back in this style.

Sophie has a young, sophisticated but snazzy vibe but still age-appropriate. I am appreciating her style more and more. S.M.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely ensemble, the jacket fits well. The draping of the skirt I don't like, but that is my personal preference. The shoes and clutch colour are good, love the brooch.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely look with her white blazer, looks perfect for the weather, what a classic look for the Duchess!
ReplyDeleteSophie looks fabulous; the jacket is beautiful. I do not like the skirt it looks like something granny might wear; had it been a pencil style it would have been nice ,the extra flap of material looks tacky. Sophie looks bright and cheery.(Tara)
ReplyDeleteThe best she ever looked!

Great blazer, really wonderful, but the skirt is a failed project.
ReplyDeleteLove the phrase "a failed project". Describes the skirt perfectly! The jacket is nice, though. and the Countess is looking great
DeleteOh, I'm loving what Sophie is wearing. Its soft, elegant, feminine and classic look.
ReplyDeleteI believe she wore this skirt in 2017 and its great to see it again. White and pink look lovely together.
And loook how well she fits in with the others in her white blazer :)

Must admit that I do like the skirt the CoW wears and consider the drape a nice touch. However, I feel the skirt shouldn't be combined with a (too white) jacket, but with a soft ivory blouse or turtleneck instead. The jacket in itself is beautiful and suits her very well. The soft coloured shoes go excellent with the skirt.

@MCS . You say about the same what I thought. The blazer is beautiful because it fits well. The skirt is beautiful in itself but not in combination with the blazer. I prefer the dress (or is it a skirt and a top ?). Shoes and clutch are a very good choice. Pity her hair is not very well done lately. I remember she had shorter hair before. I liked her hairstyle a lot in those days.
Delete@Anonymous 23/3/22 10:32; not sure whether I'm correct, but I believe to spot a tiny bit of a white top underneath the jacket (best seen photo 4) and therefore I concluded the countess wears the skirt version

I meant I prefered the dress that is presented by the model. But it can be a skirt and a top in the same fabric instead of a dress.
DeleteBelle allure de Sophie dans cette jupe dont la longueur lui convient à merveille mais où le bât blesse, c'est le drapé latéral qui donne une impression d'asymétrie ; très jolie sa veste blanche !
ReplyDeleteLovely to see Sophie wearing something that isn't overly long. This length is far more flattering than her usual choice of ankle length skirts. I'm not fond of the drape, but love the freshness of the jacket.
