On 24 March 2022, Princess Marie of Denmark opened a photo exhibition at the ruins of Jumièges Abbey in Normandy. Jumièges Abbey was a Benedictine monastery situated in the commune of Jumièges in the Seine-Maritime département in Normandy, France.
The photo exhibition shows about 60 works by eight Danish artists and is organized as part of a Nordic cultural project, consisting of five Nordic photo exhibitions. Princess Marie is Special Cultural Representative in the Culture Department at the Danish Embassy in Paris. Princess Marie wore a new polka-dot midi dress by Ganni.

ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteMarie looks very pretty...I love a good polkadot dress. Would love to get a close look at the magnificent embroidered coat the lady next to her is wearing...
ReplyDeleteGosh .... I can't believe what I see: Princess Marie is very beautiful, but she has NO sense of style and fashion at all. . This dress is dark, a too long winter - outfit, it is tasteless and almost embarrassing to wear as a representative of Danish culture and the royal house. She will never be a style icon as CP Mary and Duchess Kate, but less can do it. It is required she gets a stylist, imo.
ReplyDeleteThe couple gets apanage.

DeleteMarie doesn't have the budget of Mary or Kate. And maybe she's not all that interested in fashion?
DeleteThe dress is too long but she is stunning. I prefer her a million times to the others. She has had many superstar moments as to clothes. She has the face and the body and personality. Nothing compares to that.
DeleteIt is a beautiful dress, but it "eats"her. Maybe a size smaller would have been better?
ReplyDeleteQuesto vestito è troppo lungo, mi sembra anche un po' grande, per il fisico minuto della bella Marie.
ReplyDeleteThe dress is engulfing her frame, that is problematic. This dress has potential but it fails. I love the Navy color, it suits Marie beautifully.
ReplyDeletePrincess Marie is lovely, no matter the outfit she wears. That being said, the frock is too long, thing that is the largest issue. Not sure why she would have chosen it and then had to add a blouse underneath. The other people around her are dressed in the same darker colors, so no quibble with the color, I happen to enjoy polka dot fabric in all colors.
ReplyDeleteShe always wears too dark colors, besides this dress has too long sleeves and makes her look shorter than she is

Marie has a similar frame to Letizia. She would be advised to take ideas from her. This dress is not suited to Marie’s height or slender frame. With so many Spring colors, I wonder why she went for a dark choice!
ReplyDeleteVery elegant. Marie looks simple & pretty well done. Mary
ReplyDeleteTwo sizes to big,

I like polka dots but this is too much. Perhaps a white under-blouse would lighten the look, and maybe a size smaller. Many times she has looked very glamorous but this is not one of those times. Such a shame because she is a beautiful woman.
ReplyDeleteIf Princess Marie just would reach out and ask, there would be so many stylists and designers at her feet, to help her...
ReplyDeleteNo, she doesn´t earn her own money, but her husband Prince Joachim makes 3-4 times what a Prime Minister in Denmark is paid annual!!
She is born in France and yet does not have an interest in style nor fashion hmm... Keeping in mind her role is to represent her country, as a Princess - I don´t get it!!
Marie to me, seams very interested and competent when it comes to fashion. Very often she wears elegant, classic, feminine dresses or suits. She has a clear thred/line in her choices. She always right. I’m quite glad to see someone not having the need for exposing dramatic or extravagant outfits. And there’s something magic in her charisma that few other ladies have.
