King Abdullah II of Jordan is currently making a working visit to Norway. King Harald received King Abdullah at the Royal Palace in Oslo. Queen Sonja and Crown Prince Haakon were also in attendance during the audience. Thereafter, the King and Queen hosted an official lunch in honour of King Abdullah at the Royal Palace. Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit were also present at the lunch.
Long Live The King and Queen.
ReplyDeleteSur ces photos, j'aurais voulu voir Rania et Mette-Marit en compagnie de leur époux ; Sonja est élégante dans ces couleurs Bordeaux et grise, comme d'habitude bien coiffée !
ReplyDeleteThe dark pink colour looks good on Queen Sonja but unfortunately the gathering around the waist is not flattering. Her hair looks wonderful as always.

AWFUL suit on Haakon. He looks like he slept in it. Abdullah´s jacket is pulling, and Harald shouldn´t have done up the lower button.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree, the jacket looks too short and the hole suit looks cheap and unflattering.
DeleteCompare with Swedish king and prince Carl Philip. Always supersharp dressed.
King Harald is about 85 years old and he has been sick several times during this winter (enough to have had several weeks sick leave). Health is more important than fashion!
DeleteCarl Gustaf is 10 years younger with no health problems - and Carl Philip 45 years old so comparison is not ok.

Very nice to see these two particular royal families together. They obviously respect and value their connection, given the depth of interaction over a mere working visit. It gives a good feeling.

I love Queen Sonja's plum colored dress. The large beaded necklace and bracelet complement her pretty shoes. The King Harald, King Abdullah and Prince Haakon are dressed in similar fashion. It's good to see King Harald's smiling face.
ReplyDeleteQueen Sonja's burgundy dress looks great especially with the pearl necklace, her shoes on the other hand I don't like, a miss for me.
ReplyDeleteYes, Ava, I as well don't understand this type of shoes underneath this dress.

I agree about the shoes. With pants these shoes could go better.
DeleteAlways good to see real hospitality.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen's shoes are not new, she's worn them before, and I didnt like them, the form fitting cut of the shoe does not look good, though it might be comfortable and more supportive on her feet, it just looks wrong.
ReplyDeleteIt's still winter season in Scandinavia so they are probably warmer than regular pumps..
DeleteThey add a modern twist.
QS is wearing one of her Emilio Pucci outfits used a lot of times before. The Queen is almost 85 so give her a break...
