On the occasion of International Women's Day 2022, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg visited the "Maison Sichem" in Helmsange, which is owned by the Fondation Maison de la Porte Ouverte (FMPO). The Fondation Maison de la Porte Ouverte (The House of the Open Door Foundation) celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. The FMPO provides support and help to people in distress.
Léger manteau dont la couleur lui sied à merveille associé à un long foulard/étole imprimé ; un petit peu plus court à mi-mollet, je trouve que cela aurait été parfait par rapport à sa petite silhouette !
ReplyDeleteSuch an improvement we have seen at GDMT in recent weeks: hair without a thick layer of gel (and less make-up)! She looks youthful and refreshing in this combination and nicely coiffed.

GD Maria Teresa did well chosen long lines outfit, which fits her body.

The beautiful colour of jacket and the matching scarf look great--much nicer that the dull outfits she often chooses. As said before she is a real inspiration to ladies of similar vintage!
ReplyDeleteThe GD looks fantastic, very relaxed and approachable and her love of her work shows in her smile. The appreciation of the group is evident also, it looks as a very warm interaction.

Noooo, I cannot believe it - I live in the same street where Foyer Sichem is and I did not notice at all that the GD was here today!!!!! This is beyond surreal, the GD in my neighbourhood! What a lost opportunity to see her up close! It must have been an extremely low key visit, no police cars, no bells and whistles... wow! I always admired the work they do there, providing a safe shelter for women escaping domestic abuse or facing other serious life challenges and it had crossed my mind more than once that this could be a worthy cause for the Grand Ducal family to support - and, voila, the very day that this actually happened I didn't even realise it.... Oh well, what is the most important is that the GD made these brave women's and their children's day. Happy that the work of the Foyer has not gone unnoticed.
ReplyDeleteOn the fashion side, I really like her outfit and the simple make up today, very fitting for the place and occasion. That shade of purple is one of my favourite colours ever and it suits the GD so well. I agree with other commenters that her new hairstyle is so much better, feminine and makes her look so fresh and rejuvenated. She remains a beautiful lady.
