Kensington Palace have announced this morning that The Duchess of Cambridge has become the new Patron of the Rugby Football League. The Duchess has become patron of the Rugby Football Union and Rugby Football League, taking over the roles from her brother-in-law, Prince Harry. On February 2, 2022, The Duchess visited Twickenham Stadium in London, to meet England players, coaches and referees and join a training session on the pitch.
Ahead of her outing, The Duchess said in an Instagram post: 'I am so thrilled to become Patron of the Rugby Football League and Rugby Football Union. Two fantastic organisations who are committed to harnessing the power that sport can have in bringing communities together and helping individuals flourish'

I think she is the right person. She is much into sports, as everybody knows.
DeleteAm so proud of Catherine, and William they saved really stepped up to for the Monarch in these difficult years. Soon Harry, his gold digger wife and uncle will be a long lost memory.

An unnecessary comment unrelated to fashion.
DeleteThe Harry and Meghan comment was completely unnecessary. You can praise one person without disrespecting another. Let's have some class, please.

Wow that was a nasty thing to say.
DeleteJ: gold digger wife? It was Harry who proposed to Meghan. If Meghan was a gold digger she would have stayed and tolerated the UK abuse but instead as a couple they chose to make their own living. They are of no burden to the UK tax payers. While Harry and Meghan pay taxesin US, your royals tax you to live in their palaces.
DeleteThe Duchess was the perfect choice for this patronage. One thing I have always admired and loved about the Duchess, she never hesitates to roll her sleeves up and have a go at literally anything, and never looks uncomfortable or out of place. At this event she was engaging and vital, well done to her. Her casual clothes were right on point.
ReplyDeleteWell there isn't any physical roll up your sleeves; as such. Kate looks good she enjoys sporty activities. I like the tracksuit. Actually this might encourage more women to follow rugby. I love Rugby 7's; quick interesting. My husband and I took our son to the Rugby at the Commonwealth games in Melbourne 2006 ;we had a great spot. Her Majesty had opened the Games; then who should walk in and sit down the front of us Prince Phillip(Duke of Edinburgh) fantastic, that topped off the day.(Tara)
ReplyDelete@J, classless comment!
ReplyDeleteMany of the best pictures of the DoC are those taken while she is doing something sporty: at times like these, the clothes are always perfect and she looks super relaxed and at ease.
