Swedish Crown Princess Victoria began an educational program within the Armed Forces

On Monday 14 February, Swedish Crown Princess Victoria began an educational program within the Armed Forces that will take place in 2022. The first training day started at the Headquarters, where the Crown Princess, together with the Commander-in-Chief, participated in military strategic staff orientation.

This was followed by training and presentations relating to, among other things, leadership of the Armed Forces, the world situation and defense policy topics. The training series within the Armed Forces aims to increase the Crown Princess' knowledge and understanding of the Armed Forces' tasks and activities at strategic, operational and higher tactical levels.

CP Victoria wears the fatigues well and seems to take this opportunity with appropriate seriousness.

This blog is not about fashion only, it's also about royals in different occasions which often have nothing to do with the fashion.
No need to be sarcastic, the northern heirs to be are very aware of the military defense of their own countries and have taken part to many practices.
Obviously you don't follow what is happening in the world outside "the fashion". I feel sorry for your unknowledge about this issue.

@rita. I totally agree with you. I don't now which degree Victoria has in the Swedish Army but I know she regularly take part at programs organised by the Armed Forces of her country. This time it is and educational and training program as explained above. As a future monarch I think it is important that she is aware of the military defense programs especially with what is going on these days in- and outside Europe.

Rita: mimetic uniforms and stuff like that are totally useless since the northern heirs, as any other powerful people on this planet, have a luxury bunker waiting for them in case of nuclear war. Aware or not.
No need to feel sorry for me. You dont know me.

We don't know about the detailed programme of her training day, perhaps it included activities where other kind of clothes would have been impractical. By wearing the same uniform as other soldiers she shows her respect to the army and an understanding of its duties. The combat uniform she is wearing is the casual dress in many armies nowadays, worn for everyday purposes. And I think Rita is right in feeling sorry for you, as that kind of sarcasm and negativity never originates in a happy soul. I wish you well.

B: it's not a matter of negativity or positivity, sometimes we can use irony to say things as they are.
      I wish you well,too.

Your sarcasm is totally out of place given the current situation.
It may be helpful for you to read the article: " Crown Princess Victoria briefed on the security situation in the Baltics"( link: Royalcentral.co.uk/europe/swed).
Moreover, if you read the introduction to this post, you can see that training was involved in this visit, (and Victoria had to wear proper clothes , of course) ,as well as military theory subjects.
She is not the first one to do military training as Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway and Princess Elisabeth of Belgium ddi the same some time ago, for example).
If you are going to be the monarch of your country, you need to know at least military defense tasks and strategies).

You are lucky you can "say things as they are". Not everybody on this blog can do that. Or you reaction is not allowed, or you receive a response that twists the words you wrote.

      @ P. the orig.
Since she is older than Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Princess Elisabeth she did military training long before the two young princesses. I remember I saw pictures of her in Army Gear when she was about the same age. But that is not the point. You are right it is important these days for a monarch to be, that she is briefed on a regular basis. I am not happy too with the sarcastic remarks of some. I don't think they realise in what world we are living today.

Yes, you' re right, CP Victoria is a number of years them senior.
I meant that it is quite common to do military training for Queens to be in many monarchies, especially in some countries in Northern Europe.
Once, I was at Copenhagen Harbor and the majestic Royal yacht was decked there.
Sailors and officers were getting ready to welcome the Queen and the Royal Family.
I was impressed and glad to see that sailor women( who where nordic beauties) were more numerous then their peer males!!

  4. On ne peut pas parler de mode sur cette photo où nous voyons Victoria très sérieuse en écoutant son interlocuteur, ce qui est tout à fait normal par les temps qui courent !

  6. Love the Army fatigues. Oh, how marvellous for the CP to be participating in this educational program within the Armed Forces and what a experience for her. Good on her, simply splendid.

To me the matter was closed but since "some of you" insist on imposing their views upon mines, im sorry to remind you that unlike in other kingdoms, such as England, in Sweden the King has a purely ceremonial role . He has no political power and has only the task of representing his people and the nation. Therefore any military decision will never be in the hands of Victoria, she will never lead an an army or decide any strategy, no matter how many practices she will be involved or in spite of her mimetic uniform, unless laws will be changed.

That being said, if you dont accept irony, just scroll down and move on, this is a free blog.
