The Countess of Wessex is currently visiting Qatar with Orbis in the Middle East in her capacity as Global Ambassador for the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB). During the visit, the Countess is meeting with Qatari organizations and dignitaries who are championing eye healthcare programs and tackling avoidable blindness worldwide. The Countess arrived at Hamad International Airport in Doha on Monday.
The Countess visited National Museum of Qatar, and there, she received information on the country’s heritage, and toured the multi-sensory, interactive exhibitions that have been designed for those who are blind and visually impaired. These accessible exhibitions have been created with support from the Alnoorcenterqa, an organization advocating for the people with visual disabilities from a young age.
The print/style of the dress/jacket was nice, and shoes coordinated well. The fussy purse, was not needed, as the pattern of the dress was busy enough without adding that purse. A plain bag, the same color as the shoes, would have been better perhaps.
ReplyDeleteHer longer hair looks like it needs a good trim, or pulled into a soft pony tail, rather than strewn about her shoulders. Overall not bad, just could have been better. jj
ReplyDeleteThis is a standard look for C. Sophie, and it works well - printed flowy dress with a tailored blazer. The blue pumps are a nice touch and add some interest. I don’t mind her hair, but agree that it’s time for a trim. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteLove the dress and bag. I think she looks lovely. Such a great cause she supports.

Love it, bag and all.
DeleteHope she's enjoying the warm weather.
Nice dress and shoes. Terrible hair.

Her hair is usually unkempt. Although this dress is really becoming for her, the bad hair spoils the overall look
ReplyDeleteAlways cheering to see our hard working, unassuming Countess Sophie on duty. Nice dress in a great pattern and lovely shoes. As usual the dress looks like it's on the long side. Agree that shorter hair (or her hair pinned up) would look better.
ReplyDeleteLove her dress and her purse! She exudes warmth and kindness so I think even in a paper bag she would project beauty.
ReplyDeleteI like the dress and shoes; not sure about the white jacket. Countess of Wessex needs a hair update ;it needs a good high lighter, and a cut . Amazing they don't expect her to cover her head.
ReplyDeleteQatar is an odd place; the other year the airport people found an aborted fetus in a bin at the terminal; if that wasn't enough they took all Australian women off the plane and did gynaecological examinations to see it wasn't one of the passengers. Disgraceful (Tara)
@Tara. Sorry, but what does that have to do with this post? The need to bring this issue is just mind boggling, not only inappropriate on this site but distasteful.

CB. There are a few Royals who stand up for the rights of women and want to see change; Princess Mary, and others sorry life is sometimes distasteful.(Alexandra)
DeleteBeautiful dress and gorgeous shoes, love this outfit.
ReplyDeleteThese kind of dresses are not trendy anymore. The shoes match the blue in the dress. Did she borrowed a purse from her daughter ? The blue colour of the flowers on the purse does not match the blue colour of the shoes. Her hair is as bad as Maxima's.
