Princess Beatrix attended the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Guild of Volunteer Millers at the Zaans Museum in Zaandam

On January 15, 2022, Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands attended the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Guild of Volunteer Millers at the Zaans Museum in Zaandam and also opened the Year of the Miller during the event. The main objective of the Guild is to support the preservation of Dutch mills by training new millers to run wind and water mills on a voluntary basis. There are currently about 1600 millers in the Netherlands, who keep the 1100 mills in the country running on a regular basis.

    This burgundy colour looks great on Princess Beatrix, and goes well with the grey.

      Yes, I was having withdrawal symptoms :-) Glad it's back to normal.
      I also like Princess Beatrix's burgundy pants and shawl, but the shawl doesn't seem substantial enough to warm her.

    Toujours aussi pimpante, la princesse Beatrix a su harmoniser les couleurs grise et bordeaux jusque dans ses petits talons ; cela lui va à ravir !

    Princess Beatrix looks lovely, but is that shawl enough for the cold weather?
    I do have to wonder why they wear masks outside, then inside the same people do not have them on. Maybe it was just for the photo, and then the masks went back on, then again, maybe not. jj

      She knows how cold it can be in the Netherlands ! Often the wind makes it colder than it is. I think she knows how to dress. I love her burgundy outfit.
      A pity her pants are always 1 or 2 cm too short. Black stockings would have been better.
