The Duchess of Cornwall hosted a reception at Clarence House to mark 50 years of the Refuge charity’s vital work and meet staff, supporters, and those who had been helped by Refuge. For five decades, Refuge has supported women and children facing domestic abuse, offering them a safe haven and specialist help. Refuge also runs the National Domestic Abuse Helpline, which is the gateway to accessing specialist support across the country.
A nice gathering of lovely ladies for a worthwhile cause. I very much like Camilla's teal dress, and the scarf is a nice accent. I wish her earrings were more visible. Can anyone identify them? Are they golden fish?

The dress is nice;

The scarf just hanging around the neck like that is not so nice. It should have been longer if she wanted to wear it that way.
The bodice of the dress fits the Duchess beautifully and the length is perfect.

Agree with you that the length of the scarf should have been a few inches longer when worn this way. This time I'm okay with the black boots.

This dress is very becoming on the Duchess, love the silk scarf. The colour is divine. Her earrings look interesting, cannot quite make out what they are.
ReplyDeleteAgreed about the colour of the scarf.
DeleteShe must have decided the scarf did not work and took it off in the last few pictures.
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice dress. It is a long time since I saw Camilla in such a lovely dress. It fits perfectly. The colour suits her. The length is perfect too. A pity she still wearing those boots. A nice pair of black or cognac shoes would have made the icing on the cake. The scarf is nice too, but she must learn how to wear it.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I not that much interested in the Duchess' ensemble, but in her most remarkable work.
ReplyDeleteAll my admiration and respect for what she is doing for women and people in need in general.
Camilla looks lovely. It is a really well fitting dress in a pretty colour and the scarf adds a delicate touch which I personally like a lot.
ReplyDeleteI think the Duchess is a very attractive woman with a wonderful, warm smile. However, (refer to photo 4) I think she would be even better looking if her eyebrows were groomed and better shaped. The pencil she uses as a "filler" maybe isn't the best color choice.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone else noticed this? Or, am I being too critical? DIQ
Lovely, perfectly fitting dress in a great colour. Scarf is nice but, as others have said, seems to be the wrong length for the outfit. Lots of other great dresses too. It's really good to see everyone making an effort to look smart. for a formal occasion.. At so many awards ceremonies, I am astonished to see people who seem to have made no effort to dress up for the event.
ReplyDeleteGreat colour on Camilla. Not quite the perfect fit, but a reasonable one. She looks very good for her age without looking artificial. Which isn’t always the case with much younger royals.
