Swedish Princess Estelle and Oscar celebrated the Saint Lucy's Day

The Swedish Royal Court released a new photo of Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar on the occasion of St. Lucia’s Day. The caption was as the following: "Happy Lucia wishes Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar from the family home at Haga Castle."

The Royal Court also released some photos from the family's photo album taken during the celebration of Lucia Day in 1984. The photo shows Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Madeleine. The St Lucia Day, also known as the Festival of Lights, is one of the most important pre-Christmas customs in Sweden.

    Little Oscar finally found his smile, and it was worth the wait !
    The creases on the gowns in the '84 picture just crack me up.
    Whatever, this is such a lovely tradition.

    We know the resemblance between CP Victoria and Princess Estelle s strong but I really thought the 1984 photo was Queen Silvia (how incredibly little she has changed in almost 40 years!) with Princess Estelle. Amazing genes.

    The dress Estelle is wearing looks like the same one her mother wore. How sweet. The picture of Victoria and Yes, Prince Oscar has found his smile. The photographer might have something to do with that. What lovely memories these pictures must evoke for the family. Annie M, I agree that Queen Silvia is as beautiful now as then.

    Princess Estelle is such a bright little girl; Prince Oscar is a character; such loveable children; as they continue Christian traditions. I like their Christmas tree.(Tara)
