Queen Rania of Jordan attended a meeting with a group of local entrepreneurs and representatives of Jordanian social enterprises at Antwork, a co-working space in Jabal, Amman. The group included the creators of a number of Jordanian brands known for their high-quality food products, clothing, accessories, and handmade items, who are creating job opportunities for Jordanian artisans, as well as refugees.
During the meeting, the entrepreneurs and business owners spoke about their desire to continue opening new doors for locally-made products, thereby creating job opportunities for Jordanian talents and helping local products reach new global markets. Antwork has two Amman locations, each including indoor and outdoor open-plan workspaces where businesspeople and entrepreneurs can get together.
Those trousers are awful. The baggy cut, those exposed buttons, the superhigh waist with the folds, the wrinkly material. The colour itself is fine but an odd choice for winter.
ReplyDeleteThe boots are fine but I don´t get why she chose black footwear to go with the trousers. It´s a rather stark contrast. The shoes clash with both the red purse and the brown belt as well.
Yes, the pants aren’t flattering for all the things you mention, the sweater is just a regular top, that most of us would wear under a jacket or with a nice scarf because in on itself is rather plain. The boots don’t go with the length of the trousers, she has a long torso and despite of the high waist , for some reason it doesn’t work here. I don’t like the way she has been styling her hair lately, the volume and stiffness doesn’t look very elegant. I do disagree that the colors don’t match the season, the temperature was about 18 C, regardless of the calendar.

This is a rare, unexpected, total miss for me from Rania.
ReplyDeleteThe top is OK on it's own, but the trousers are terrible and the overall combination is as pedestrian as it gets.
However... I truly appreciate that she isn't afraid to drop the high glam, and can be as normal and unassuming as any of us, and any of the majority of the women she represents in her country. In other words, a real person, both in private and in public which is a real credit to her.

I think like Vanessa. Not a good choice.
ReplyDeleteJe ne peux pas dire que Rania porte mal ce pantalon à taille haute même si je pense que sa coupe est trop ample pour sa silhouette élancée ; cela se voit particulièrement au niveau de sa ceinture qui a l'air trop longue !
ReplyDeleteAgree that the trousers are not a desirable fashion choice. But that said, it's a nice break for once to see Rania, who is always impeccably and exquistely dressed in the highest fashion, looking "average".
ReplyDeleteMom jeans!!!
ReplyDelete1984 called and wants this look back. This is one that should not be resurrected from the 'vintage' archives.

I love the trousers; they appear to be linen. I also like the cut of the blouse, she looks nice and casual, and seems to be enjoying herself. Queen Rania is doing great work.
ReplyDeleteRania is a top royal lady in switching impeccably styles, keeping high standards in design, while ensuring variety and always well adapted to circumstances. Her figure allows her to wear a wide range of styles with the same success. She is so lucky. Agree with anonym 23:42
