On Saint Nicholas Day, December 6, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie and Prince Charles visited Schoos village in the municipality of Fischbach. There, the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess and the Prince celebrated the arrival of Saint Nicholas (De Kleeschen). Saint Nicholas Day is a traditional children’s festival in Luxembourg. For them, St. Nicholas Day is more important than Christmas, as it is on this day that Saint Nicholas or “De Kleeschen” brings gifts and sweets. Prince Charles and the children were spoiled with gifts brought by St-Nicolas!
Lovely, as most young kids he was afraid of Saint Nicholas. Lovely parents. But we see so often little Charles eating ...
ReplyDeleteWe see him so often eating? Really? I for one didn't notice that...
DeleteIf you give cake or in this case a Christmas doll (kind of croissant that is made only around Christmas) to a child, he or she will eat it.

Utterly ridiculous comment by you.
DeleteLove this beautiful happy boy . I really like what he is wearing . Princess Stephanie looks pretty in her beige pullover and hairstyle.
ReplyDeleteI agree.

Sigh... Again, Charles is saving the day, drawing the attention from his parents. It is nice that they re trying to be "normal" but it can get a bit much...
ReplyDeleteFor some people it is never good enough.

What the Heir couple strive to be? The well educated well bred aristocrats that they are, careful not to let the peasants too near their beautiful son?
DeleteI truly don't understand.
Guillaume and Stephanie waited for years to have what may very well be their only child, who is as beautiful and delightful a baby as could be imagined. Quite naturally, they are proud of him and want to show him off to their fellow Luxembourgers who seem delighted with him.
Such a bundle of joy! The photo of him and the little girl (?) with the red pullover on is too cute!
ReplyDeleteQue niño mas lindo y feliz, va guapísimo
ReplyDeleteThis pics are adorable. You see sooo much the doting and very proud parents in that pics. Both seem to be so hands on.
ReplyDeleteYou can see, how they adore their little boy for whom they, I'm guessing, had to wait a long time.
Pure love in that pics!
uh, forget to talk about the fashion :-)
ReplyDeleteI like Stephanies outfit and style in that pics and I everytime think how adorable they dress Charles!
A proud day for any parent Mary
ReplyDeleteLovely natural family 🌹
ReplyDeletesuch a sweet boy 🍀 blesst Luxembourg mini state 🙏
@Anonymous: I live in Luxemburg and confirm that all the children of Grand Duc Henri went to a public kindergarden and primary school in this village. Before visiting boarding schools they also went to a public highschool. So it‘s normal that Charles went there and to other events. Also he doesn‘t have siblings and his cousins live far away, how can he get in touch with other childrens then when he doesn‘t visit such events???
ReplyDeleteSo adorable! Prince Charles is so cute with the little girl. And, how like a toddler to be anxious even afraid of Santa. Guillaume, Stephanie, and Charles are beautiful family. Also, Stephanie looks terrific at this event.
ReplyDeleteThe photo of little Prince Charles shyly interacting with the other child is my favorite...so sweet and adorable!
ReplyDeleteStephanie looks particularly pretty at this event and I can't put my finger on why. It's certainly not her outfit, sadly. But she looks wonderful.
