New photos of the Duchess of Cambridge have been released

Kensington Palace has released new photos of the Duchess of Cambridge. The photos were taken at Westminster Abbey the day before filming of the Duchess' Christmas carol service. They show the Duchess decorating trees sent by the Queen from her Windsor Great Park estate with red ribbon bows and arranging wreaths that were donated by the Royal Horticultural Society. The Duchess spent the day before the concert helping decorate the Abbey as final preparations for the event took place.

The concert called "Royal Carols: Together at Christmas" took place on December 8, 2021. It was spearheaded by the Duchess of Cambridge along with the Royal Foundation. The service will be broadcast in the UK on ITV at 7.30pm on Christmas Eve.

    She is right to wear the cardigan as much as possible, right now.
    I am rather rarely among those asking for shorter hair, but for Catherine, I am now.

    Would be lovely if she were 17-18, when it was time for girly tops and long locks cascading down. But Kate is 2 weeks short of 40 (Jan 9), and although it seems incredible how the time has flown by, it really has. - Ellie

      I would really not be as restrictive as you about Catherine wearing the cardigan. There are really so few joyful things around right now, mainly because of the pandemic. I cannot see why it should be restricted to teenagers.

    Comme j'avais commenté précédemment, je trouve ce rouge très joli en cette période pré-Noël mais je préfèrerais voir Kate dans une couleur verte afin que cela s'harmonise avec sa magnifique chevelure ; à chacun ses goûts !

    I agree with the above comments, Catherine should cut her hair, it is too long and I much prefer the original darker brunette. The outfit is appropriate for the occasion, I like her cardigan.

    Now that I see this cardigan with black pants it's not so kitschy as it seemed on previous fotos, it's quite fun and christmasy.

    Unlike many others, I think the red cashmere cardigan is perfect. It's the Rapunzel hairstyle that really needs to be done away with now as the DoC approaches her 40th birthday.

    A sleek longish layered haircut would look great. She has the kind of thick hair to make it work.

      As for Rapunzel, there are old ladies with white hair who wear long hair. The point should not be ageism, why should long hair be restricted to younger age, is there any good reason for that? Moreover, I think it is really the locks that disturb, they look very artificial, what they of course really are. And they dominate her whole appearance. Queen Letizia also has very long hair, but she wears it more naturally. (-Ann.)

    Perfect Christmasy sweater with an excellent pairing with the black trousers. Kate looks great and, even though these are posed photos, she looks like she is having fun decorating for the Xmas Caroling performance.

    I think the outfit is nice. The cardigan works for her. But her hair is far too long. It should be shoulder length which is so flattering on her.

      I agree on all points. Nice sweater for the Christmas season and yes, I think Catherine looks better with shoulder or just below the shoulder length hair.

    I love this look, think it's great for Christmas and the occasion. Fantastic trousers as well. I do think her hair is just a little too long, but that's a minor issue. She looks amazing.

    I like the cardigan - I think it's fun but not too kitsch. She has the figure for this style.

    I would prefer her hair shorter as well or at least, pulled back off her face. Nothing to do with her age, I just don't like the long waves around her face.

    Kate has an odd speaking voice;not sure if she has a speaking coach.THe cardigan is a bit old fashioned
