Crown Princess Victoria is making a three-day official visit to Paris. On the second day of her visit to Paris, Crown Princess Victoria visited La Fabrique du Métro (Metro Factory) in Saint-Ouen in the northern suburbs of Paris. Afterwards, the Crown Princess attended a meeting at the Swedish Embassy in Paris. This year, the Institut Suédois in Paris celebrates its 50th anniversary with a series of events. The Crown Princess wore a blazer by Andiata.

Yikes. When you choose long blazer Do Not Wear It with this kind of wide legged trousers. When styled like this, lower part looks heavier and legs shorter. And her usual tight hairstyle isn't helping. Horrible. These days she rarely manage to surpise me in good ways with her fashion choices.

    1. I think it just looks bad because the trousers are too short and with those awful two tone white or are they pale grey shoes showing. If she had worn black boots and the trousers were almost to the floor it would have just been one long flowing line of black and she would have looked very nice.

    2. I agree with both Karin and nalerina. The trousers needed to be less wide, and the shoes needed to be replaced with solid black shoes.
I do like wide-legged trousers, but no trouser leg should extend beyond the tip of the shoe.

I agree with Karin & nalerina. And why wear such a necklace with that blouse - either wear a string of pearls so it rests within the neckline or simply go without. A size smaller would have worked with the jacket. The shoes are ridiculous; I don't know what she was thinking. Either Victoria has no fashion adviser or that adviser is very much hit&miss & should be given the "spark", as they say in Swedish. ~Laurel~

Completely agree with first remark. And indeed always those tight severe hair, that don't match her friendly face

It's been said in recent posts that this current trend of flared trousers works for only a few, and to me, Victoria is not one of them. The look might have been improved if she had selected a more fitted jacket , with more shape, but instead it looks over sized and too long, which makes the trousers look worse than they might have otherwise.

  4. The shoes are just so wrong with these trousers. I agree with Nalerina that if she was wearing black boots or shoes, the trousers might look better but even as a huge fan of wide trousers, I've got to say that these just don't look right.

I might have liked this if the jacket and shoes were gone. The blouse, from what I can see, looks very nice, and I like the trousers. She definitely needed black shoes or boots. Her trousers are, indeed, too short. The jacket is a strong no with the rest of the pieces. She has tried to tie the shoes and jacket together to make this a cohesive look, but that is exactly what is so bad about what she is wearing. I can see a collarless black (or other dark color) fitted leather jacket at hip length and black boots to make this chic. Her hair looks worse than usual because of the same flyaway piece she had on day one. A little product would work wonders with her hair. I still wish she would wear a little makeup. When making an official visit, it doesn't seem like it would be too much to add some color to her cheeks and lips. ~d

  6. Oh dear! The shoes must go--those two-tone shoes need to stay in the closet until Spring/Summer and they should not be worn with dark or opaque hose/tights. The wide legged pants need a narrow, fitted top or a shorter, bolero-style jacket. The wide, long jacket needs a pencil skirt or skinny-style pants. The blouse works with both the jacket and the pants--just not as part mish mash of a mishap.

Please go shopping in Paris, Victoria, and buy a cute little fitted jacket!

Yes Josh, hopefully that's the real reason she's in Paris or at least she's had enough down time to do some. Wonder if she went shopping in Italy. Well, at least she didn't show up in one of her plaid suits. ~Laurel~
