As President of The Mary Foundation, on December 21, Crown Princess Mary sent a Christmas greeting on the foundation's digital platforms and also shared two new photos. The wishes of the Crown Princess for the new year was as the following, among other things: 'Now 2021 is running out. Like last year, it was a special year. We started the year with closure and restrictions - and now, unfortunately, we also end the year with school returns and worries that Christmas will not be as we had hoped, due to another corona wave.'
'The best thing we can do is be there for each other as best we can - and hope we get through it quickly this time. It is also very clear that we can all help to create more hope in each other. We can grab the hand that is being stretched out. And also even reach out and show that we are there. Now, it's Christmas soon. And there is hardly a better time than right now to help give hope to someone who needs it. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas.'
Not a very festive look. i think only Monaco does the original festive season cards now days
ReplyDeleteW.
Not the best of examples, Monaco
DeleteI agree. Monaco and Luxembourg had the best, most season appropriate Christmas cards out of the entire lot.
ReplyDeleteOh, she highlighted her hair, it looks nice, but more festive outfit would have been better.

Such inspirational words & love the new pictures. I love this Zara jumper it's great
ReplyDeleteI hope CP Mary is feeling better Mary
That´s a depressing look for a message of hope. The dark outfit, the restraining tightness of a turtleneck top, the dull, lifeless background, herself positioned against the wall, almost cornered, her arms closed instead of reaching out, and she is not even able to produce an encouraging smile. For someone who´s worked in PR, this is a total failure.
ReplyDeleteMore importantly, if she´s serious about her message, she should stop working for the organisations that are behind the current crisis. It is the crisis management which has pushed so many people to the brink of serious depression.
I am all eyes and ears: which are the organisations behind the crisis? Enlighten us mere mortals, dear Vanessa...perhaps PR? Fine
DeleteStart with having a closer look at the UN. Mary is involved as a goodwill ambassador. Then look into WEF. There is a strategic partnership between these two institutions. Mary is involved with the WHO as well, representing the WHO´s regional office in Europe. If you look at the funding of all of these (plus more) you´ll find a pattern and a few recurring names. GAVI is worth your attention as well.
DeleteIt´s not just Mary though. Lots of royals are actively involved in these circles, most notably Haakon and Mette-Marit of Norway who are both alumnis of WEF´s Young Global Leaders Programme (and thus regular guests in Davos), plus close friends with Bill and Melinda Gates.
I would much rather put my energy towards organizations like the WHO, GAVI , etc. like Crown Princess Mary does to make the world a better place. One alternative comes to mind and that is to incite an insurrection on one of our most sacred institutions, lose 5 lives, cause several suicides
Deleteonly to spread the "Big LIE" to inflate the "DONALD'S shattered ego!!!
Her words come across as cold and misty as their meant to be.
DeleteLooking at the miserable -meant -colors I get an ice-pick through my heart, dearest Mary.
Being a great student in the klaus sw@@b stall doesn't warm in my case my heart ( doesn't confuse with Santa).
And putting a photo in front of me made long before Christmas when you had such long hair is not very sensitive either.
So now put these things aside and start sending a very Merry Christmas card under the Chr. tree with the complete family in warming colors and I'll be satisfied. -Anna-
Just read that the former twice impeached President Trump who lost his re-election bid, and Twitter account, must be a follower of GAVI , just like Crown Princess Mary, because he just got his booster shot, as well! There may be hope for him after all. NOT!
DeleteThis is one of STRANGEST comments I have ever read on Royal site. Poor Princess Mary is on the side of evil because she works with the WHO?!
DeleteRupert Murdoch and his disgraceful right wing media empire have a lot to answer for.
May God help us all.
I know this is a fashion blog, but will you all excuse me when I say how much I admire her for learning a new language, and a very difficult one at that! Mary, I am convinced that you have done the Danish royal house, including the queen, very proud, to learn the Danish language!
ReplyDeleteSo true - for example the "softD" is not so easy to pronounce. She is a gem and this outfit is absolutely correct for this more businesslike message on behalf of her foundation. Fine
DeleteRoyalty fan, if it's about language :
DeleteCP Mary's Danish pronunciation is really bad and still with a strong British accent after 20 years in DK.
She is also the only one in the royal family who is only bilingual.
Mary is fantastic, but not to language, sorry!
But she is the best dressed, so let us stick to fashion.

A written prepared text can be rehearsed many times before it is recorded. When she speaks spontaneously in interviews she always make mistakes. Sometimes it's a little cringe worthy to listen to. I am not about being faultless and I know she is a foreigner. However, to be praised for learning a language you are surrounded with daily for 20 years with the best possible teachers is a bit exaggerated.
DeleteThis is a depressing look for a Christmas message. Her hair looks fabulous though.
ReplyDeleteChel
Beautiful photos of CP Mary! Love her mulberry sweater--the button details are wonderful. Her foundation is a great service for the people it serves. I hope she is feeling better and has recovered so she can enjoy Xmas with her family.
ReplyDeleteRecover from what illness?
DeleteAnon at 17:42, Covid19/corona virus.

Most people who test positive & are called "cases" do not have any symptoms whatsoever. I do love Mary's sweater, but her face looks very plastic & the skin is flawlessly unwrinkled. ~Laurel~
DeleteBeautiful photos of CP Mary, this looks stunning.
ReplyDeleteAnon 17:42, she was also tested positive for Covid!
ReplyDeleteMary looks, well not that festive, and restrained in her smile, odd for her, unless she is suffering from symptoms of COVID. jj
ReplyDeleteP. Mary is so pretty, love her hair!! Hope she's feeling better!! Merry Christmas to all!!
ReplyDelete@ Vanessa... oh the Bill Gates conspiracy, now I get it πππππ
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to the family. Mary has come along way from Tassie. Perhaps Prince Frederick is in Sydney with his yacht ;ready to sail in the Sydney to Hobart yacht race. Mary has had a bit of work done to her face. Well all royal's follow the money ;to us they have one persona and to the rich, and my friends they have another; who can out do the other, clothes, houses etc ;its a bit boring.(Tabby)
ReplyDelete@FITZHUGH, you can’t get thru the internet conspiracy theory followers, and “web experts” that live in their own world. Reality doesn’t exist for them, and they will use any platform, even this lovely fashion blog, to disseminate false information and rhetoric.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays!!!
Cherry.
