On November 10, The Duchess of Cambridge visited the Imperial War Museum in London and toured the exhibition ‘Generations: Portraits of the Holocaust’. The new exhibition consists of more than 50 photographic portraits of Holocaust survivors and their families, including two images captured by The Duchess. The Duchess wore a dark blue wool coat by Catherine Walker, and a white and navy military style blouse by Alexander McQueen.
Holocaust survivors, Zigi and Manfred, who The Duchess first met in Stutthof in 2017 and spoke to again to mark holocaust Memorial Day this year, appear in the exhibition as do the stories of the Windermere Children – some of who The Duchess met in Cumbria. The Imperial War Museum tells the story of people who have lived, fought and died in conflicts involving Britain and the Commonwealth since the First World War.
Really nice trousers, they fit her perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI like her longer hair. She really has beautyful hair and can wear it longer.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. Catherine has wonderful hair!
DeleteI like her longer hair. She has beautyful thick hair and can wear it longer.

Quelle silhouette de rêve dans ce pantalon que je préfère au style de son chemisier qui n'est pas du tout à mon goût ; j'adore ses boucles d'oreilles qu'elle sort assez souvent de son écrin à bijoux !
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. I understand a nod to a host country, but Kate has taken dressing to acknowledge an organization to a very different level. I am not fond of the blouse either. ~d
DeleteI really hate that blouse of hers and she has worn it often to things marine or military. She needs to ditch it. I like her hair longer too but it does need a better cut.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful blouse (or jackett?)!
ReplyDeleteshe needs to eat more so the clothes can stop wearing her !!!
ReplyDeletelol. i don't think you can say that now days, even when everybody is thinking it. she looks amazing 😁

I really like these trousers and the whole outfit. I am happy she has left those skinny jeans to younger girls (hopefully :))
ReplyDeleteI like how the Duchess always seems to dress for her events. Professional when needed; glamorous when the occasion calls for it. She tries to keep the attention on the event and not so much herself.
ReplyDeleteWhile I understand her sentiment in wearing a military-styled blouse, I can't help but think of a nutcracker when I see her wear it. Perhaps it is the lighting, but on my screen, her long blue coat seems to clash with the blues of the rest of her outfit. It is nice to see her wear the diamond and sapphire earrings. She is a lovely lady and does good work.

ReplyDeleteThe Duchess looks great! Her original MCQueen outfit with the skirt looked flattering. Love the rewear with the long coat and her long hair looks beautiful. Her interactions with those there were so sweet, especially those with whom she had previously worked on photos.

Love everything here.

Elle continue tres mince et les cheveux?Presque 40 ans,n'est plus.une adolescence.
ReplyDeleteExactly what I was afraid to say. Time to tame the hair (especially considering her position; she is not a fashion model). ~Laurel~
DeleteHer husband likes her hair long and so does she.

She is dressed nicely and appropriate, but I agree regarding the hairstyle. A few inches shorter would make her look younger. She looks haggard but I understand the pressure to be skinny in her role.
DeleteDisagree with most about the hair, it’s way too long, and it gives me fashionista vibes…
ReplyDeleteThe outfit it’s fine, appropriate and unremarkable.

Kate looks great--love the trousers. That McQueen top is not one of my favorites but she does look good in it. She does indeed have fabulous hair. She always keeps her hair neat when she wears it down--but, I would like to see an inch or two come off. It looks like she is wearing her poppy brooch on her blouse but her hair is obscuring it-and that's something I wish she would pay more attention to when she's choosing a hairstyle for an event. I do like that she switches up the part in her hair to give it a different look.
ReplyDeleteThe whole ensemble together is très chic, and she radiates happiness.

This is one of my favorite shirts of hers ever, I wish it was mine lol. I can see why some might not like it, it's not everyone's style, but I find it fabulous with the military styling. I love that she has paired it with these trousers, they fit perfectly. And that coat, fantastic! Her hair and makeup are flawless. It must be exhausting to look so perfect all the time :)
