On November 20, 2021, Dutch Princess Beatrix attended the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Foundation for Recognition at the National Archives in The Hague. The Foundation for Recognition (Stichting Werkgroep Herkenning) was established in May 1981 as a volunteer organization that provides help to the children of parents and grandparents who were on the side of the occupying forces in the years between 1940 and 1945.
Tenue simple mais élégante ; c'est autre chose que la femme à la robe bleu-marine dont la longueur aurait mérité d'être juste sur le genou pour sa morphologie ; par contre, très jolis collants gris !

ReplyDeleteShe's the former queen, but as per her request she wanted to use her 'birth title' after her abdication. So, that's the reason she's being called princess these days.

It's the custom in the Netherlands the former Queen is called Princess again after her abdication. Princess Beatrix's mother Queen Juliana also was called Princess Juliana after she left the trone to her eldest daughter Beatrix. Just like in the UK you can have a queen-mumm and in Belgium once a queen or a king you keep the title until your death.

Very good jacket, but above all, so very good for all the men and women that she, the older generation, was there,

Very elegant outfit of Princess Beatrix. Pity the white lines in the front of the top do not end at the hemline but in the middle. But still a very beautiful suit for a very wonderful lady.

Love seeing her, wish she was still the Queen.
ReplyDeleteI love this look. The contrasting piping is a nice touch. She looks beautiful, and it is great seeing her.
