In theory the Natan dress should look nice, however, it just makes the Queen look thick in the waist and point out the shiny nylons and thick legs. The hat covers the stringy hair, and she does have a nice smile. Cam

    1. My opinion is that there is no reason for any obsession about "thick legs" neither the shiny nylons.

MaryT, I think you are a cyber bully, trying to push your ideas onto someone else. This is a blog, respect for each other is paramount. This is a fashion blog, comments on hair, hats, clothing, shoes, bags, and even stockings are welcomed. Teri

    3. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but this seems like a very vicious comment. I think we have already discussed the likelihood of the shiny tights being support tights (understandable given the time she spends on her feet) )which can often appear shiny. I certainly don't see thick legs. Maxima is tall and well built (NOT a euphemism for fat). She would look very odd with the skinny ankles of people like Queen Letizia, whose legs are just right for her petite frame. Personally think the dress is lovely, the hat and shoes are great and this is Queen Maxima's best look on this visit so far.

    4. Hi, I started by saying "my opinion is", so other opinions are welcome... take it easy ! From my side I looked again, I don't see thick legs.

My opinion: thick legs, not shapely, as some other tall women have, its a comment, not a put down. Shiny nylons are not support hose, they are simply what she likes to wear for some reason. galilooli

Anonymous 16.11 Your description of " Thick legs" that is yes your opinion, be it, a nasty one. What and how does this comment connect with a Fashion blog? How exactly does it resonate being callous, body shaming as opposed to the topic of conversation, which is about fashion styles ? You have made a vicious comment and it is offensive.

  7. Chapeau et lunettes contre les effets néfastes du soleil qui accompagnent cette jolie robe de Natan déjà portée ; elle l'a emmenée dans ses valises !

  8. I like this dress very much, the style, fabric, length and the sleeves are a winner for me. The hat is fabulous and the color choice right on point. She looks very regal but not over the top. A little bit too dressy for a day event, but Maxima never underdresses. All in all I think she looks great.

Maxima looks fantastic. Beautiful dress. The cut and fit is flattering on her figure. The accessories enhance the overall look.

Another fan here of this dress and the way Maxima wears it. I find the total look very pleasing. Well done.
And 'welcome back' to the picture hat. A 'once in a while' appearance makes this Maxima signature so much more appreciated.

  14. I agree with the others who have praised the queen’s look today. The dress is lovely and fits her perfectly. The hat is the perfect complement.

  15. The Dutch Royals are there for the first time, to attend a national function! Their visit isn't a fashion show, or parade! Some of the comments have lost sight of the initial reason and purpose of their official visit!

This is a fashion blog. We are only looking at what they have chosen to wear and our comments have to do with our agreement or disagreement of the chosen combinations of bags, hats, shoes stockings, jewellery. Sometimes we comment on whether we think the outfit chosen is appropriate for the event.
That said: I think for a Natan the dress is very nice. I find the straw of the hat too heavy looking. I like its colour but would have preferred a more transparant flimsier looking straw for such a dress. That sort of belt on this dress I fail to understand. It is totally extraneus and actually chops the very nice lines of the dress in hal.
I actually fail to understand her whole belt fetish or maybe it is the house of Natan's belt fetish. they seem to slap a belt onto everything and anything.

      Well…. This is a fashion blog, so….
If one would be inclined to learn about the political/ economic relations between these 2 counties, we would certainly be looking into a different publication.
Perhaps, you are the one that have lost sight and struggle to understand the objective of social blogs, or perhaps you believe to be intellectually superior and like to let us know?

  16. This is a beautiful dress, but thst belt is awkward and looks cheap I like the hat, but not with the dress, something smaller and more delicate would work much better. Love the sunglasses though ;)
