  1. Spot on choice for Queen Sylvia, Queen Letizia and Princess Victoria with their choice of outfit for a royal lunch.
However Princess Sofia seems to be a bit out of place with her printed frock.
Can't wait to see the line up of robes and jewels at the state dinner this evening.
Pity Princess Madeleine can't be there to complete the scene.

  3. Superb outfits worn by the two Queens. Lovely colours and beautiful tailoring. Victoria and Sofia are also looking good.

  5. Love the colour of Letizia dress, but, feel the billowing sleeves are too much on her small frame. Love the fur collar wrap.
Queen Silvia looks beautiful in her purple ensemble. She embodies grace and elegance. Ana

    1. Letizia small? She is almost the tallest of the women there...

    2. Actually, Felipe and Letizia are very tall.

    3. Agree with your assessment about the sleeves, the balance is off.
The total lack of jewelry makes the outfit a bit boring, despite the lovely color. Now it’s just one large orange canvas.

    4. Letizia doesn't have a small frame, she is taller than Qn Silvia and Victoria, than Kg Carl Gustav. But appearing always with her very tall husband, we may get the impression she is small. Several pictures demonstrate that.

    5. Ana, do you need glasses? Small frame? Only Felipe, 1,97 is taller than her.

    6. QLetizia is looking very good in this orange dress. If there is anyone who can wear this it is QL. Only women who are very thin can wear such large sleeves. KFelipe's beard is becoming very grey now. It is still a very handsome man but the grey beard makes him older than he is. So I would say shave it. QSylvia is looking good too in this fuchsia red. But she is wearing this color so often that it is really boring. CPVictoria's ice blue dress is lovely but a bit too long. And I'd change those light blue shoes into black, navy or even nude shoes.

    7. Had exactly the same thought as Anon 18:15 about the ageing effect of KFelipe's grey beard, and that it might be time to shave it off. All the ladies look nice, but I like PSophia's flower-patterned dress and whimsical hat best. S.M.

  6. Never thought it possible that L would wear something that really is not good: wrong colour, wrong headpiece.
The Swedish ladies all three of them: well done!

  7. Queen Silvia absolutely wins the fashion here. She looks beautiful in that purple. The dress is ok on Queen Letizia, nothing wrong with it, she has just had better, and I'm not a fan of that headband/hat on her. I do love that cape though. CP Victoria looks fantastic in that light blue. Not a fan of that printed dress on Princess Sofia, and her bangs looks strange here.

  8. Lovely overall, especially King Felipe, so handsome! I hope Letizia did not get cold during the outdoor ceremony, the cape was really pretty, but a bit of wind it must have been really cold. I am not totally over the moon with Victoria's choice of clutch and shoes, I feel that it would be better not to overdo the monochrome. Sophia is so-so. Looking forward to rest of this visit!

  9. Though I feel the cape is great and perfectly combined with QL's handbag and shoes, I don't like it in combination with the dress and headpiece. Once the cape's gone I see a great look, but would have preferred somewhat less billowing sleeves.

QS looks pretty in purple; dress as well as coat fit perfectly and her modest jewelry give the look a suttle touch.

CPV and PS both look good as well.

  10. Queen Letizia proves again she's the best and most stylished dressed queen! Great combination of colours, even with the red dress the total outfil is not 'screaming' or over the top!

  12. Letizia is such a beautiful lady, so good to see pictures without masks on their faces! Her outfit is gorgeous. Silvia and Victoria also look very lovely. Agree that it is not the best choice of Sofia.

  13. Wow! Letizia looks stunning, I like the cape and complements, but the dress is outstanding, beautiful color, impeccable tailoring, and those sleeves are so chic, I disagree that they are too much for her, she is not petite by any means, she is very slender. I do like the headband as well, she is not into hats as they aren’t customary among the Spanish Royals, but this choice is a good compromise.
Queen Sylvia look amazing, the coat is superb. I think Victoria looks fine, and the dress is very flattering on her. I can’t like Sofia’s dress, somehow it just looks a little frumpy and busy.

  16. The cape makes Letizia's body look enormous. There is too much going on with the cape, the fur collar and the head piece. To me she looks a bit frumpy.

And her makeup makes her look old. She has a lovely complexion but here it's the opposite of fresh and young.

A fail for me but I still have hopes for the state dinner tonight.

  17. Queen Silvia looks perfect. An elegant older woman who is a model for all.

  18. Love the colour combination of QL cape and dress, camel and orange. However you cannot wear a fur collar anymore nowadays and it does not add anything to the total look. Love the hairband. The sleeves of the dress are a bit wide for her relatively thin armes and figure. Dress of Victoria and Sofia bit old fashioned, but QS top outfit

  19. Love the colour and cape combination from QLetizia, it's gorgeous, however I would like to change the headband, it's ok with all the look but as piece it's not my favorite! I do not refer the fur collar once i'm not sure that it's real fur.
QSilvia also very beautifull combination, however I prefer with the coat.
PVictoria looks very good with that palid/light blue, but not a fan of her shoes and clucht choice.
PSofia chose a dress its I think it will be nice in other moment but not here, I also don't like the headband and clucht choice.

  22. Queen Sylvia is the winner here for me. She looks regal I like Letizia's dress but not a fan of that cape thing she has on it just looks weird. This is probably due to the part of the world where I live we don't wear capes in winter & our winter not as cold as the northern hemisphere. Perhaps this is a Eutopean thing I am not sure. Mary

  23. Oh, joy. Queen Letizia in a hat (You may call it a headband if you prefer but I'll stick with hat!) And even better--a red hat. Love her outfit, including the caramel coloured accessories and the cosy fur trimmed cape. Superb. However, Queen Silvia in her perfect purple just edges it to number 1 on my list. I do like CP Victoria's beautifully simple dress but wish it was just a little shorter. It's a pity that Princess Sofia decided to go for her sister in law's favourite floral patterned look. Don't think it does her any favours. Looking forward to the rest of this visit.

Queen Letizia's ensemble looks fabulous, love the cape, dress is gorgeous. Accessories are perfect. Queen Silvia looks delightful, love her coat and dress, gorgeous rich, burgundy accessories.

  26. I just love this look on Letizia. She looks amazing. The fantastic thing about the sleeves is that they take an ordinary dress and make it memorable. Letizia knows how to wear clothes that make a statement, and she takes just the right amount of risk. This is the kind of dress that I think would work well on Kate as well. When we see her in column dresses, she has no shape. A dress like this would visually interrupt the straight line. Letizia's choice of camel accessories are perfect, allowing the dress to be the showpiece. Her jewelry remains simple, just a pair of lovely earrings and her signature Karen Hallam ring. Her cape is to die for. Another Carolina Herrera piece, fingers crossed the collar is faux. As I am the first one to admit I do not know much about hat fashion, I can only say that the headband seems like a good compromise between a hat and a bare head. Letizia looks very cold, but has managed to stay very stylish while shivering.

Silvia looks much the same as always. I like the rich berry color on her. She looks like such a warm host! Victoria is refreshingly in a solid color, as opposed to a floral. I would have liked a nude shoe better, but such a little quibble. I also think her dress is too long. She is so close here, she just needs a few tweaks. Sofia looks underdressed in her floral dress, though I will give her credit for removing the tie. I can't understand the floof in her hair. It is barely a headpiece, from what I can see. To my eye, it is one step away from not wearing anything. Maybe that is where the next generation is headed? ~d

  27. Think the 2 queens look faultless. Agree Q Letizia's slim frame helps to pull off the statement sleeves. And the fur-trimmed cape adds a little Scandinavian charm. Victoria looks great in the baby blue, but also agree the shoes are wrong (awful in fact), too matchy, and too summery anyway, and let down the whole look. Unfortunately, think Sofia looks dreadful in the flowery number - it makes her look far too frumpy - it looks a little too tight, and with the flare, too short. lcb
