On the evening of November 16, 2021, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain gave a gala dinner at the Royal Palace of Madrid in honor of President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella and his daughter Laura Mattarella. Italian President Sergio Mattarella is currently making a state visit to Spain on November 16 and 17, 2021. The President's daughter, Laura Mattarella accompanies her father during that State visit.

DeleteYes, what a memorable gala dinner, isn't it?
Letizia is breathtaking and everyone is stunning in their outfits.
The jewellery itself is jaw dropping!!

To mask or not to mask?
ReplyDeleteThat is the question.
She looks fabulous but for the mask!
...Marie
and then they remove the masks indoors, doesn't make sense anymore.
Deletenice to see queen in a tiara
w
@Marie: Yes, I am grateful too that they are dining without masks :)
DeleteThey all look fantastic, but the masks spoil it all.
DeleteThe mask policy is utterly ridiculous, the on/off method defies any logic.
The covid is raising again in all Europe and there are countries with lots of restrictions already.
DeleteSpain has most of its population vaccinated...we'll see...
Wearing the mask is the responsible thing for the King and Queen to do. They serve at the behest of the public. Imagine the criticism if they do not, when everyone else does.
DeletePlease do not engage with anti maskers. Everyone has their beliefs but anti maskers want to convert others to their way of thinking regardless of science. There are videos on YT of anti maskers deliberately going into business to harass shopkeepers and even becoming physical with customers who reproach them. Everyone knows their rights.... until their loved ones become ill.

Wow!
ReplyDeleteOne of her best looks ever, simple, elegant and soooo sexy! If I am not mistaken this is their first state dinner since pandemic began so well worth the wait.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, she is skinny, get over it.

Love, love, love the Queen’s outfit, especially with all the bling she is wearing! Just wow!
Letizia is looking beautiful and the dress is beautiful. Love the Tiara she picked and all the jewels ..
ReplyDeleteWooow... She is fabulous
ReplyDeleteSusana
WOW is right! Absolutely stunning. So classic and elegant, lets the bling stand out. Just the right amount of sexy. Just jaw dropping in all the right ways.
ReplyDeleteChel
Wow. She can be so subtle with her usual jewelry but when she pulls out real jewels ahe kills it! Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteBig WOW!!! Fabulous look from Queen Letizia!!! King Felipe looks amazing too!
ReplyDeleteAfter almost 2 years without any tiara action from the Spanish royals this state visit has come as a real treat. Queen Letizia looks absolutely stunning, her grand tiara, necklace and brooch come together beautifully. King Felipe looks handsome as always! My only comment would be the black dress, its a nice dress that makes her figure look great, but everyone is wearing black which looks a little sombre.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what jewels the queen will bring to Sweden at the end of the month.
Why is the Queen wearing black to a gala dinner? Is she in mourning?
ReplyDeleteSo people only wear black while in mourning? Where does this exactly happens?
DeleteTo offset the diamonds and pearls? Subtle dress, fabulous jewels. Works for me.
DeleteThe Queen looks sensational. Her gown suits her superbly, its lovely. Stunning array of jewels. The diamond necklace is fabulous, gorgeous diamond and pearl brooch, and diamond bracelet, subtle diamond earrings. She looks incredible
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress and total arm envy. Letizia looks great!
ReplyDeleteRenee
Agree that Queen Letizia looks amazing. The jewellery is just fabulous. I have to disagree re arms. Beautifully toned arms look great but I think her over muscled arms detract from rather than add to her beauty.
ReplyDeleteOnore a Mattarella!
I wish she had more substantial earrings, the small ones get lost among her fabulous jewels!
ReplyDeleteI do not agree. Larger earrings would be too much and detract from the necklace and crown. The earrings are perfect.
DeleteMoana
Letizia is gorgeous! Her gown is simple yet elegant. The bodice is ruched on one side to add subtle interest. It is the perfect display for the exquisite jewelry she is wearing. She is not known for wearing much jewelry, but when the occasion calls for it, she really outdoes herself. She is a sight to behold! I read that she is wearing her Manolo Blahnik BB Snakeskin pumps. With such a simple gown, the choice of a snakeskin shoe adds texture. What a sight to behold!
ReplyDeleteI wish the mask comment above had not been made. It was out of place. We are still in a pandemic, and areas around the world are surging or preparing for winter surges. Felipe and Letizia have been among the most responsible royals and should be commended for their efforts. ~d
ReplyDeleteBy Giorgio Armani, obviously an Italian.
ReplyDeleteLouise
Wow .....
ReplyDeleteShe looks amazing as usual, however this dress is wonderful on her.
He must be so proud of her as his wife and Queen, she is always such a lady.
ReplyDeleteMARIAMAR
Now thats a lot of spray tan on Letizia. Seems to be new habit of hers, she never looked like that. Not in november.
ReplyDeleteAnna
I don`t want to offend anyone but I just wish the edge of the decolletee had been higher by about an inch - the low cut is really sexy (as some of you have already said), it just looks a tiny bit too low to be really elegant...just my two pence
ReplyDeleteI agree. In that sense Laura Mattarella's dress is more appropriate and very nice.
Delete-SaF
I fully agree. CC
DeleteI like the open detail at the back of Laura Mattarella her dress.
ReplyDeleteEverything has been said, so I can only add, that I find her fabulous, from top to bottom.
ReplyDeleteStrongly disagree with the notion that the dress is inappropriate, ladies have worn low décolletages on these occasions for centuries, there are some good images of Queen Elizabeth in her youth…..
Also disagree with the arms distraction? So if they were sausage like would you mention it?
Ms. Mattarella’s dress has a very interesting back but it’s hard to see the dress in detail.

Queen Letizia looks geogeous and able to wear that kind of dresses and look amazing elegant, WOW .
ReplyDeleteAnd it is great to see the royal jewels and gala are back..... not only in Spain, but in all royal houses in Europe.
- MaLou
She is looking beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMade my day.
I always wonder why the queen never (?) wears any rings. Does somebody knows something about that?
