Queen Rania wore a pastel pink kaftan dress which she combined with her Dior gold shade sequin pumps. 1.

i thought the same thing as Anon 13:39 on their day of arrival in Jordan. Having the Duchess show up in a doudy flowered dress upon her and Charles' arrival seemed like an insult to their Jordanian hosts. Diana would have matched Queen Rania in style, poise and elegance. Granted Camilla looks lovely in her evening attire and her make up helps her to shine. Fashion may not be her priority, but she has a role to play. You never get a second chance to make a first impression at welcoming ceremonies. Many may not agree, but the world is watching and Camilla is representing the Monarch.

  5. Love these flowing, kaftan-style outfits. They are just the right amount of understated style for an informal dinner banquet. Both Camilla and Rania look fab in them.
My eyes are riveted on the ink blue sari worn by one of the ladies there.

    1. That sari is absolutely stunning especially with the elegant way she is carrying a cerise wrap that matches with the amazing weave of faces on the floating over her shoulder part of the sari. The other ladies also look superb.

    2. Camilla's dress is lovely and her earrings are fabulous but like Anon and Nalerina, I prefer the beautiful strong colour of the blue sari. The lady wearing it is beautiful too.

  6. We've seen Camilla in this dress before. I think it is her favourite evening dress to wear in hot climates. It is the right style of dress for her. A pity her shoes are gold and clutch is dark silver.

    1. I don't think her shoes are actually gold I think they too are silver but they are picking up the and reflecting the red of the carpet. Ranias shoes are gold and they are also picking up the red and reflecting it.

The lady in the beautiful deep blue Sari is Princess Sarvath wife of Prince Hassan. They are the Aunt and Uncle of King Abdullah II.

    2. Yes-yes, she caught my eye as well. I can't find out who she is. She looks glorious in that first photo. Love her hair & dress. Rania & Camilla look lovely in their long dresses. Middle Eastern fashion shows a woman can look beautiful while being modest. ~Laurel~

The evening gowns look lovely. This design on Camilla works well and suits her perfectly, but the colour is a fail IMO, the colour doesn't photograph well , doesn't stand out and pales into the background. Princess Sarvath in the deep sea blue sari with embroidered border, looks sensational. This is divine, the side view, a blended colour scheme, she looks beautiful, this photographs extraordinarily well. I love the splash of hot pink colour in the scarf, this lady has real style. Her natural coloured hair suits her so beautifully, she is a stunning woman.

  10. How beautiful and elegant Camilla, Rania, and Princess Sarvath look! I love this caftan-style gown on Camilla and the soft green color makes her look radiant. Rania is beautiful in her cream and gold--her evening gown looks almost as if she took her day dress/coat and had an evening gown version made too. Princess Sarvath is stunning--the gorgeous, saturated jewel tones of her sari and shawl constrast beautifully with her white and silver hair.
