Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie visited the Luxembourg Artistic Circle Fair 2021 (CAL Salon 2021) at Tramsschapp Culture Center in Limpertsperg. The Hereditary Grand Duchess viewed the exhibition “It Hurts Until it Doesn’t” by Julie Wagener, displayed at the Fair. This year, the Revelation Prize was awarded to Julie Wagener, whose paintings deal with mental health, a current societal theme correlated with the pandemic.

For the 2021 edition, Julie Wagener received the €2,500 prize offered by the government and the ministry of culture. The Revelation Prize is awarded every two years to an artist under the age of 35 on the occasion of the opening of the CAL. On more than 1,000 sqm, the annual fair that was founded in 1893 provides a good overview of the country’s artistic scene.

  1. Bien jolie Stéphanie avec cette longueur de cheveux qu'elle coiffe judicieusement avec la raie sur le côté - J'aime beaucoup la couleur moutarde de son petit manteau --et toujours son sac style besace ! !

This will be another list of comments like 'she's such a lovely person and they have such a sweet family', because there's nothing positive to say about what she's wearing. I also think she's likely to be a very kind and caring person, but the pants are bad, the bottom of the top hidden under the bad coat promises nothing good about the top, and the bag is the same awful sack seen before. It's no better this time, and the the way she handles it is strange. She is a high-ranking official representing the state at an official function, which is in no way reflected in her appearances. It should be. - Ellie

      Ellie.
OMG, you must be a great admire of royal females , to whom the fashion come first and the most important thing is to be in magazine and have own
      named fashion blogs ?
Almost as Hollywood shows princess es in their movies.
Not very regal, but very commerciel to be PR - fashion models for some designers trademark
      indeed, IMO.

    2. I actually like the coat. It´s neat and cheerful, certainly formal enough for a high ranking royal, the combination with both trousers and handbag just fine. The only remark I have is that the coat is too tight around her upper arms, and that it is buttoned weirdly.

I fully agree with you Ellie.

She doesn't seem to have an eye for fashion... The colour of the coat doesn't match her hair and is illfitting over the arms. The bag is terrible and it's difficult to understand her choice there..(?)
I won't go on.. but I've never been impressed by her fashion wise. Her parents-in-law looks more youthful in their apperrance than she and her husband do.

Apart from that- I'm sure she's a nice and inrelligent person.

  3. Love the bright coat and the regular purse! I never see other royals carrying a purse like a regular woman.

    1. I have to agree (especially after reading some of the other harsh comments). The bright coat lights up her face. And oh wow, she's carrying a bag. If the DOC did it, everyone would applaud.

  5. Lovely Stephanie, her bag is what like the least about her look.

  6. Stephanie looks wonderful--yellow is a great color for her! Her coat is beautiful and her trousers have a nice flair instead of just looking baggy. So wish she had a lady-in-waiting to help her with her purse--having to hang onto it looks awkward for her in some of the photos. I can understand if its a sort of comfort piece or tactic to use to avoid a struggle about what to do with both hands but this bag keeps slipping off her shoulder--a lady-in-waiting could help her.

Princess Stephanie does not need a lady-in-waiting, she needs a good shoulder bag with a long strap and a stylist.

Stephanie looks great here. Her coat is fabulous! The color and cut are amazing on her. She looks so good in bright colors, and having it up around her face lights her up. The coat is a good choice because it accentuates the smallest part of her body. In addition to the cut of the coat, only buttoning the button at the chest further keeps the fit at the upper part of her body before the coat flares out. I like the cut of her pants. They have a modern cut, and they work well with the coat. The coat is the star piece and nothing else should distract from it. Sadly, that brings me to the bag. It was a mistake the last time she carried it, and an even bigger one this time. It does not come close to coordinating with what she is wearing, and is awkward to handle. With such a polished look, a decent black bag would have made a big difference. The only other problem I have, and it is a small and personal thing, is her shoes. They look wrong to me. I am bothered by the shine and the toe. With the cut of the pants, I would like to see a pointer toe, and the time of year makes me think of muted finishes. A boot would have worked as well. ~d

Nice hair, nice coat which I wish was either left open or fully buttoned. I don't care much for the trousers but I guess they're ok.

  9. I really like everything about this coat. It's a beautiful yellow and a lovely shape. The bag over the shoulder does spoil the effect but other than that I think it is a successful outfit.

The way her coat is buttonned is very odd. Since the coat seems a bit too tight it is better not to button it all. Otherwise a good color for her.
The handbag is not a good design for her. She should wear rather classic handbags not too big or too small but a "normal" format she can wear around her wrist or simply at her hand. Her hair and smile are lovely.

A lady in waiting to help with her purse?...doesn't handle her bag like a person who is of importance? What strange comments about a purse. I think she looks very relaxed, self confident, and natural. She's beautiful in the yellow and black, and I love how she is always just being herself. That's the sort of Royal people can relate to. 12. With just a couple of tweaks, this could have been a stunning look. I think the pants are great. They look neat and well-proportioned, hitting the shoes at the right spot, with a wide leg that is both elegant and more flattering to Stephanie than the narrowly-cut pants we have often seen on her. Matching the shoes to the pants is always a good idea, as it elongates the leg visually. I think the coat’s eye-catching color is a great choice; however, the way it buttons guarantees that it will gap unflatteringly, as here.

I looove the bag — wish I had one just like it! — but if you can’t keep it from slipping off your shoulder, best not to use it on official occasions.

A little softly-hued makeup would bring out the charm of Stephanie’s lovely face, and an elegant updo at public events, too, would give such a boost to the visual impact of this future Grand Duchess of Luxembourg.

  13. Like the coat though it would have been better either properly fastened or left open. The trousers are fine--we've seen them before and they are okay. The top looks like on of the collection of beige tops she has favoured in recent months, though they don't favour her. If the coat had been properly fastened we needn't even have seen it!

Love this bright and comfortable coat and the easy trousers. The color of the coat shows the highlights in her hair and the length gives her height and presence.

I feel the need after your comments, to say something positive about Stephanie in the pictures, but I do mean it:
The yellow coat is very flattering for her as is her well blown hair.
I love her big bag and she wears it, indeed, as every woman would do, nothing wrong with that,

  16. Oh how I'd love to take her shopping and introduce her to a tailor. Her wardrobe need more shape and structure to compliment her figure. And just a detail or two would push her out of the boring zone.

  17. The colour of her coat is lovely on her, if it just had one button, it would have changed the style completely and a black top or camisole under it would just have set it off perfectly.
The bag is terrible with the outfit, it looks like she is going shopping, a plain structured clutch in black would have added the finishing touch to her outfit.
Please get rid of your bag, it takes away from your outfits.

  18. She shouldn't use this bag on official visits, as a matter of fact she shouldn't use this bag at all.

I quite like Stephanie, her husband and new little son. They are a lovely family, interact well with each other and show true love for one another. There are many other royals whose husband have cheated on them for years and the public is supposed to turn a blind eye to this, as if it is normal. The family is supposed to hold firm, smile for the camera and pretend all is well, when it is not.

Not so with Stephanie, her husband and little boy. One reason we love this family is the obvious affection and true love they show. I for one, think it is refreshing to see in a world where smiles, and relationships are so often not as they seem.

With this in mind; I find Stephanie's yellow coat, lovely, whether the button is done, or undone, its a good color for her. The pants are not skin tight, but a pleasant cut that neither hide, nor detract from her figure. The top, which really cannot be seen is almost not part of the outfit, as the outer coat is front and center. We cannot see exactly what type of shoes she is wearing, but they blend well in color with the pants. The bag, is neither here nor there for me. If she chose it, she must like it, even though it appears to slip off her shoulder a great deal. Maybe she prefers to have a shoulder bag, rather than a small clutch that would not hold what she needs, who knows.

Her hair, and makeup are pleasantly pleasing, and simply enhance her already lovely smile and face. jj
